It all started when I went to the store for eggs.

I have a friend, Leo, who lives next door, who always eats eggs for breakfast. He doesn't have any pets or anything to take care of, so he's always home, eating eggs. Every day.

I think it's boring.

After doing my shopping at the store, I was walking back home. In front of me was a black cat.

I'm kind-of scared of cats, and I got worried, so I ran after it to try to get away from it. The cat ran as fast as it could, but it wasn't going very far in the snow - its paws kept slipping, and it fell down every few seconds.

But it never slowed down! It just got right back up and kept running.

As soon as it saw that I was catching up with it, it turned around and looked at me while still trying to run away, and then it bit into my leg! It hurt like crazy! But instead of stopping and falling down again, it kept running! Even though it was biting me in the leg!

I almost passed out from being so surprised by this cat bite attack combo thingy - before I lost my balance and fell down on the sidewalk myself!

The cat stopped running away from me and looked at me again! It was looking at me with its eyes wide open - like those anime characters that look like they're surprised or something? And then - *BAM* - another bite attack combo thingy! This time on my other leg!

It hurt just as much as the first one did! And this time I fell flat on my face in the snow! I couldn't even stop myself from falling over! And somehow I lost my groceries in the process too. They were lying next to me in the snow now... a bunch of eggs rolling around everywhere...

“What are you doing?!” yelled Leo from his window. “You're ruining your groceries!!” He shook his head disapprovingly and went back to his eggs. “Oh well... Might as well finish them off for breakfast tomorrow morning....” He muttered to himself. “Who am I kidding? I'll gobble them all up tonight anyway...” A smile crept up on his face as he thought about how good those eggs would taste with a nice slice of sausage on top…

He suddenly heard some noise coming from outside his house. Looking out the window again he saw that Lulu was standing up again after having fallen flat on her face in the middle of the street. She seemed quite cheerful though; she was laughing happily while picking up her groceries off the ground where they had rolled into a big mess of broken eggs and spilled milk. Leo shook his head again; such an odd girl... She didn't seem nervous at all after having just been attacked by a cat - which he had seen just a moment ago sprinting away in front of her… How strange… Then again, maybe she hadn't even noticed that there had been a cat chasing her...? Maybe because she has been preoccupied with her thoughts? Leo chuckled softly as he imagined Lulu being attacked by another cat somewhere around town – she probably wouldn't even notice that there had been two different cats attacking her… One after another…

He smiled wistfully thinking about how cute she looked with that big grin on her face... Her eyes were twinkling brightly too – almost like stars dancing around behind her long eyelashes… He felt himself getting lost in those eyes again... If only she could see him looking at her right now... How wonderful would it be if she turned around right now and noticed him watching her through his window...? The thought made him squirm slightly under his blanket -- but then he remembered what he was wearing – which wasn't much… His pajamas were embarrassing enough already – they were made out of a thin flannel material which clung closely to every part of his body; especially tightly around his butt… But then there was also some sort of peculiar birdhouse cap on his head – which might best be described as a nest-cap, that is, it resembled a hairnet designed for birds. Without thinking about anything more than that single thought about Lulu looking at him through his window (which made him happy), he jumped out of bed, removed the pajamas and nest-cap at once, before jumping straight back into bed again wearing only a pair of ridiculous underwear that resembled minuscule pairs of panties sewn together all over his chest and legs, making him appear almost naked... Very naked indeed...

But hey: Who cares? Lulu can't see him anyway… Can she? No way… And even if she turns around right now, she won't be able to see anything anyway because everything is covered by this blanket … Right? Oh boy! What if this foolish blanket slips off just when she happens to be looking at him!? Then everything will be revealed – including that strange

tattoo he got on a dare last summer while he was on vacation in Las Vegas. Leo's heart started racing at the thought of Lulu seeing his embarrassing tattoo - a poorly drawn cartoon character that looked more like a disfigured alien from a B-movie than anything else. He quickly scrambled to pull the blanket tighter around him, praying that nothing would give away his current state of undress.

As Leo peeked out of the blinds, he saw Lulu bending down to pick up the last egg that had rolled under a parked car. Her laughter echoed through the quiet street, filling it with warmth and joy. Leo couldn't help but smile at the sight of her infectious happiness. Lulu was like a ray of sunshine in his life, always finding ways to brighten his day.

And yet, despite their close proximity as neighbors, Leo had never mustered the courage to strike up a conversation with her. He was painfully shy, always avoiding social interactions whenever possible. But as he watched Lulu standing there, her face glowing with a rosy hue from the cold, it dawned on him that he couldn't let fear hold him back any longer.

Taking a deep breath, Leo gathered his scattered thoughts and pushed aside his insecurities. He knew that he had to make a move, or he would regret it for the rest of his life. With newfound resolve, he made his way downstairs and out the front door, determined to talk to Lulu and finally let her know how he felt.

As Leo approached Lulu, she turned around, surprise evident in her eyes. "Leo? What are you doing here?" she asked, a hint of confusion in her voice.

Leo's heart pounded in his chest, but he mustered up the courage to speak. "Lulu, I... I've been watching you from my window," he stammered, his cheeks turning a shade of crimson.

Lulu's eyes widened, a touch of curiosity replacing her surprise. "You've been watching me?"

Leo nodded, his voice filled with a mix of embarrassment and sincerity. "Yes, and I have to admit, I've been wanting to talk to you for the longest time. You bring so much joy into my life, and I can't help but smile whenever I see you. It may sound strange, but you have this incredible way of making even the simplest moments feel magical."

Lulu's laughter subsided, and for a brief moment, the air filled with silence. Then, a smile slowly crept onto her face, tender and genuine. "Leo, I must admit, I've noticed you watching me too. But instead of being creeped out, I found it endearing. Your shy glances and awkwardness made you seem real, and that drew me to you."

Leo's heart skipped a beat, hope and disbelief intertwining within him. "You... you noticed me?"

"Yes," Lulu said, her voice filled with warmth. "I noticed you, and I've always wondered what it would be like to have a conversation with you. You never seemed like the other guys, always lost in themselves. You were different, and that intrigued me."

A wave of relief washed over Leo as he realized that his feelings were reciprocated. In that moment, he forgot about his embarrassment and the fact that he was still standing in nothing but his ridiculous underwear. All that mattered was the connection he was beginning to form with Lulu.

They walked back to Leo's house, their laughter filling the crisp winter air. As they entered, Leo quickly scrambled to put on some clothes, still slightly flustered by his earlier lack of judgment. Lulu waited in the living room, admiring the cozy space that reflected Leo's warm personality. She couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement for the new chapter that was about to unfold in their lives.

Over a cup of steaming hot chocolate, they talked for hours, sharing stories and dreams, each word bringing them closer together. They discovered shared interests, from movies to music, and even a mutual love for breakfast food. Leo couldn't help but marvel at how effortless their conversation was, as if they had known each other for years.

As the night grew darker and the moon made its appearance in the sky, they found themselves lost in each other's company. Their laughter echoed through the house, filling it with a warmth that surpassed the crackling fireplace. And in that moment, as their hands found each other, they realized that the cat bite attack combo thingy was more than just a strange encounter - it was the catalyst that brought them together.

From that day forward, Leo and Lulu's lives intertwined in the most unexpected and beautiful ways. The black cat, which had caused chaos and left its mark, became a symbol of their unexpected journey. And as they sat, hand in hand, on the couch in Leo's living room, watching the snow fall outside, they couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for those broken eggs, spilled milk, and biting felines. For without them, they might have never found each other and discovered the magic that happens when two souls collide on a snowy day in the heart of winter.
