Sans stood at the judgment hall, watching as Frisk confronted Asgore. He had been waiting for this moment, knowing that Frisk would eventually give in to their violent tendencies and resort to killing. It was only a matter of time.
Frisk struck down Asgore with ease, absorbing his soul and turning towards the barrier. They were determined to break free from the Underground, no matter the cost.
Sans stepped forward, blocking Frisk's path. "hey kid," he said, his voice filled with sadness. "i can't let you go any further."
Frisk glared at him, their expression cold and emotionless. "Get out of my way," they demanded.
Sans shook his head. "can't do that, kiddo." He summoned his gaster blasters, prepared to fight if necessary.
Frisk chuckled darkly. "You think you can stop me? You're nothing but a lazy skeleton."
Sans sighed heavily. He knew he couldn't win against Frisk in this state. But he had to try.
As Frisk approached him, Sans dodged their attacks with ease. He tried to reason with them, to remind them of all the friends they had made in the Underground. But it was pointless; Frisk wasn't listening.
With each dodge and counter-attack, Sans felt himself growing weaker. His stamina was depleting rapidly, and he knew he didn't have much time left.
Frisk cornered him against a wall, landing a powerful blow that sent him crashing to the ground.
Sans struggled to get up as Frisk loomed over him. "It's over," they said coldly.
He managed a weak grin. "heh... guess so." Sans closed his eyes and braced himself for the end.
But it never came.
When Sans opened his eyes again, he saw Papyrus standing between him and Frisk.
"NYEH HEH HEH!" Papyrus laughed confidently. "THERE'S NO WAY I'LL LET YOU HURT MY BROTHER, HUMAN!"
Frisk raised an eyebrow. "And who are you supposed to be?"
"PAPYRUS, THE GREAT AND TERRIBLE!" Papyrus struck a dramatic pose. "AND I WON'T STAND IDLY BY WHILE YOU ATTACK MY PRECIOUS BROTHER!"
Sans struggled to his feet, his expression a mixture of gratitude and concern. "paps... you shouldn't have interfered."
Papyrus turned to him, his expression full of determination. "I KNOW YOU THINK I'M TOO WEAK TO FIGHT," he said, his voice serious. "BUT I WON'T LET THAT STOP ME FROM TRYING TO PROTECT YOU."
Sans felt a lump forming in his throat. He had always tried to protect Papyrus from the harsh realities of the world, but now it was the other way around.
Frisk sighed in annoyance. "Fine," they said. "I'll deal with both of you then."
Frisk attacked Papyrus relentlessly, but he dodged their blows with surprising agility. He summoned bones and used them to block Frisk's attacks, refusing to give up.
Sans watched as his brother fought bravely against Frisk. Despite being outmatched in terms of power and determination, Papyrus never backed down.
But eventually, Frisk landed a powerful blow that sent Papyrus crashing to the ground.
"P-PAPYRUS!" Sans rushed over to his brother's side, feeling a surge of anger towards Frisk.
Frisk approached them slowly, a sadistic smile on their face. "How touching," they said mockingly. "But it looks like your time is up."
Sans glared at Frisk through tear-filled eyes. His emotions were conflicting; he wanted to protect his brother, but he also knew that he couldn't win against Frisk.
But then, something changed.
Sans felt a familiar warmth spreading through his body. It was the same feeling he had experienced when fighting Asgore, a surge of determination unlike anything he had ever felt before.
His left eye began to glow blue as he summoned his gaster blasters, his expression filled with determination. "heh... you made a big mistake."
Frisk's smile faded as they realized what was happening. "W-What? How are you doing this?"
Sans chuckled darkly. "i told you before, kid... my brother is everything to me." He fired his gaster blasters at Frisk, his attacks more powerful than ever.
Frisk struggled to dodge Sans' attacks, their confidence beginning to waver. They hadn't anticipated Sans putting up such a fight; after all, he was supposed to be lazy and weak.
But Sans wasn't about to let them win. He fought with everything he had, determined to protect his brother no matter the cost.
With each dodge and counter-attack, Sans could feel himself getting stronger. His once-depleted stamina was replenishing rapidly, and he knew that he finally had a chance at winning this battle.
Frisk's attacks became more desperate as they realized that they were losing. But it was too late; Sans' relentless assault was too much for them to handle.
He struck the final blow, sending Frisk crashing to the ground. Sans approached them slowly, his expression cold and emotionless.
"it's over," he said simply.
Frisk glared up at him defiantly. "You may have won this time," they spat. "But someone else will always come along and reset everything."
Sans shook his head. "not anymore." He reached into his pocket and pulled out an object: a locket.
He showed it to Frisk, his expression serious. "you see this? it's a save point." Sans locked eyes with Frisk. "i destroyed it."
Frisk's eyes widened in shock. "W-What? But that means..."
"it means you can't reset anymore," Sans said firmly. "you're stuck here, in this timeline, forever."
Sans felt a surge of satisfaction as he watched the realization sink in for Frisk. They were finally going to face the consequences of their actions.
"Enjoy your stay," Sans said coldly.
With that, he turned and walked away, leaving Frisk lying on the ground.
Papyrus approached him cautiously, his expression filled with concern. "SANS... ARE YOU OKAY?"
Sans nodded slowly, his emotions still running high. "yeah, paps... i'm okay." He glanced back at Frisk. "but i think our troubles are just beginning."
Papyrus frowned. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN?"
Sans sighed heavily, trying to find the right words to explain what had happened.
But before he could say anything, they heard a voice behind them.
"You're right about that... Sans."
They turned around and saw Chara standing there, a sadistic smile on their face.
"So... Let's have some fun, shall we?"
