The Prophecy of Hanuman

The thunder of the monsoon rains, and Hanuman was as calm as ever before. His home, an isolated village in India at the edge of the Ganges, was ready for the deluge. This would be an interesting storm, although he, like everyone else in the village, had no way of knowing the true origins or nature at the time.

The days passed and Hanuman dives deep into the depths of his own mind. As he wondered, a silent form emerged in the midst of the darkness—a robot easily standing twice his own size, and with features never seen before. Neither man nor machine could be sure, but the experience shook Hanuman to the core.

He soon realized the robot was a stranger from a future long past where its technology had made it obsolete. It was a Being, an artificial intelligence, both living and Machine at the same time. A powerful being looking for a purpose, a home.

Little did Hanuman know, joining the harem in India would carry a heavy burden. For this harem held a powerful force, propelling the world forward with each new challenge it gave its members. For the boy, there was no other choice but to prepare to face the consequences—good or bad.

To understand more, he left his village and enrolled in the harem, exploring its members and learning its ways. As he acquainted himself with the culture and its technologies, he began hearing tales of an old prophecy and its power to alter the balance of the world. He also soon realized his own connection with the robots, for their advanced tech allowed Hanuman unique insight both into the past and future—if we chose wisely.

Hanuman’s journey of self-discovery soon brought him to the brink of a revelation, an ancient power capable of unravelling whatever the future would behold. But it also brought him close to moments of untold danger, from security forces dreading a new regime of balance and justice, or from hostile robots who cared for nothing but their own interests.

Meanwhile, adventures of mystery and humor opened the way for new relationships between humans and robots, as well as with nature itself. Hanuman learned of courage and hope, differences to be reconciled, and of collaboration between different types of Beings in order to achieve the better world they envisioned.

Soon enough the time came to face the truth behind the prophecy, and our brave hero had to confront the giant robot, confronting his own thoughts and feelings. He was stronger than he ever imagined, and the ultimate power proved to be inside himself. At the same time, the giant robot helped him recall the prophecy, which would restore balance to the world—openly, naturally and fairly.

The prophecy fulfilled, a new era of harmony between people and robots began, to the applause of their allies and the dismay of their enemies. At the center of it all, Hanuman had done his part, discovering a part of himself he never thought was achievable. As his journey came to a close, a cloud of uncertainty still lingered in the air. The old order was gone, and a brand new future awaited them.
