"Prince Orus! It's time."

Orus looked up from the book he was reading to see his mentor, Old Tom. He smiled, set down the book and stood up to follow him. They walked down the same hallway they had walked so many times before. As they approached the open door to the throne room, Orus could hear the people calling for his father, King Al'nach. He could hear them shouting for an end to the darkness that had blanketed their land for months. The cries of their anguish carried all the way to him, amplified by the cool stone walls and echoing off into infinity.

"The people are hungry for change," said Old Tom as they entered the chamber. "They have been suffering under Lucio's rule for too long."

"Yes, it is finally time." Orus paused and looked around at the large room filled with his family and friends. "It has been a long journey."

As Old Tom reached over to put his hand on Orus' shoulder, Lucio emerged from behind one of the pillars at the far side of the room with his archers drawn. "There will be no change here today!" he shouted as he pointed at Orus. "Your reign is over!"

The air was filled with a series of loud screams as Lucio's archers let loose their arrows towards King Al'nach and Queen Etsu who were standing next to Orus. Orus watched in horror as first one arrow pierced his father's chest, then another hit his mother in her stomach. They fell lifelessly to the floor right in front of him. Several more arrows whizzed by him as he rushed towards them to try and help them, but it was too late; there was nothing left for him to do but cry out in agony as he knelt beside them, holding each of their hands tightly in his own as he looked up towards Lucio with furious eyes full of rage and sorrow.

Lucio lowered his bow and walked toward Orus as everyone in the room went silent except for soft footsteps echoing off into infinity along with soft sobs from those behind him who had watched him lose his parents before him eyes just moments ago. When Lucio reached within arm's reach of Orus, he bent down to look at him eye-to-eye and whispered directly into his ear, "Your reign is over... Prince." And then he stood back up and walked away while gesturing with his hand towards two men standing next to him who quickly moved forward to take hold of Orus' arms and pull him up onto his feet to face him and then lead him over to stand beside them against a far wall of the throne room facing all those present who were still watching wordlessly in shock at what had just occurred before them all. Lucio turned away from Orus and faced King Al'nach's body while staring intently at Etsu's laying nearby on her back close behind her husband's side without moving or speaking until everyone finally found their voice once again after remaining silent for what seemed like an eternity following what had just transpired within their midst.

The silence quickly gave way to a commotion filling once again the large chamber when someone yelled out "Murderer!" followed by several others echoing that same call of injustice which soon grew louder until it became a chorus of yells demanding justice for what had happened here today before them all. Lucio turned away from King Al'nach's body slowly without saying a word and stared intently at everyone gathered around him in what appeared to be an attempt to quiet them down once again while whispering something quietly into one man's ear who quickly left while also whispering something quietly into another man's ear who quickly left as well while Lucio returned to staring wordlessly at those present waiting patiently for things to return back to normal within this place once again so that he could continue with whatever business he needed tended after having taken care of this unexpected interruption which had suddenly changed everything between himself and those present in this space now suddenly destined never again be quite what it was before now that two new bodies were lying dead before them all in their midst..
