A sword is never just a sword. You can tell a lot about a man by the weapon he chooses.
I had left my clan too long ago, I had to get back home. Time was running out, and I had to leave my new friends behind. It was hard, but I left them all behind, and headed home.
Everyone in our clan was born with a gift, something that made them special. My mother said that I was special, she could see something in me that she couldn't see in others. She told me that I would have a special purpose in life, and I would change the world for the better.
I didn't know what she meant at the time, but time would soon show me what she meant.
As I traveled, I was attacked by wolves more than once. Luckily for me, my father had taught me about fighting with swords since I could walk. Even though I was still young, my father had been teaching me how to fight like an adult from when I could first hold a weapon properly. He said it was so we could be equals instead of him always being stronger than me when it came time to protecting the family or hunting.
I remembered the day we were attacked on our way home from a village where one of our clan members would trade things they crafted for supplies we needed. That day changed everything for us forever... and that day was only the start of my journey.
We were ambushed by bandits who knew we had weapons and supplies with us that they wanted for themselves. My father tried to fight them off with his spear as best he could while carrying me on his back in order to keep us both safe during the attack, but they were too many of them and they overwhelmed him before he could kill enough of them to make an escape possible. They killed him and took everything from us before leaving us for dead in the middle of the path back to our village after taking everything from us that they could carry away with them.
After burning their bodies, I set off alone on foot towards what used to be my home village after my father's death. It took weeks longer than it should have due to small injuries along the way, but eventually I made it back to our village after traveling hundreds of miles through forests and over mountains without any supplies to keep me going along the way except for whatever food I could find here and there along the way as well as water from rivers whenever possible along the way that allowed me to keep going long enough until I found another source of food or water again whenever necessary which wasn't often enough during those first few weeks after losing my father and having no supplies to keep going while traveling so far away from home on foot anyhow after having lost all of our supplies when they killed all of us near where they attacked us while trying to take all of our supplies with them when they killed my father and took everything except for what little I managed to leave behind before setting off towards where we used to live hoping someone may have survived or even possibly be able to help me get back home without getting killed by wolves or some other creature along the way before reaching safety again at last with no one around who might be able to help me along the way on this journey back home after making it safely back there by myself despite all of the danger along the way which took three times longer than it normally would have taken if traveling lightly instead of heavily burdened while carrying all of my belongings with me while trying desperately not to lose hope on this long journey home after reaching home again finally after a journey that lasted far longer than any child should ever have to face alone like this before finding safety at last near home after all this time without anything but very little food or water between villages which made it hard for even an adult male much less a child alone like this without anything but very little food or water between villages which made it hard for even an adult male much less a child alone like this without anyone who might be able to help her find her way safely home again on this dangerous journey alone like this without anyone who might be able to help her find her way safely home again on this dangerous journey alone like this without anyone who might be able to help her find her way safely home again on this dangerous journey alone like this without anyone who might be able to help her find her way safely home again... *
