Seeking Redemption in Oran

Carlos was born in a small village, near the city of Seville. He was raised by his mother and father, two simple farmers. His parents were never wealthy and struggled to feed their family. As he grew up, it became apparent that Carlos was not strong like other boys his age. Instead of being able to lift heavy weights or grow large muscles, he had a very weak constitution. He could hardly harvest crops from the fields or break rocks in an attempt to help his parents. His parents grew very disappointed in him as they watched him suffer from day after day of exhaustion.

One day, Carlos' father approached him with a stern face. "You are not working hard enough," he said sharply. "If you don't pull your weight around here, I'm afraid you'll have to leave."

Carlos looked at his father with eyes filled with despair. He knew that if he left the farm there would be nothing for him but suffering and starvation. So he devised a plan to make himself useful, despite his weakness. He would sneak into the city every week and steal whatever food he could get his hands on. At first, he was successful - no one saw him leave the village or enter the city because he did this at night when everyone else was asleep. He would return before sunrise so no one would see him as well. This went on for some time until one night when Carlos arrived back home from the city and saw that his mother had been waiting for him all night long, standing at the doorway of their house with her arms folded across her chest angrily tapping her foot on the ground as she waited for him to arrive home. She grabbed him by the ear and dragged him inside where both she and Carlos' father were waiting for him with their faces full of rage.

"Why did you do this?" she asked as she pointed towards Carlos' bulging backpack full of stolen foodstuffs. "Do you know what you put us through? Do you know how worried we were while we waited all night long for you to come back? How dare you put us through such agony!" Her voice rose louder and louder until she started crying loudly and ran out of the room sobbing hysterically. Carlos' father stepped forward towards Carlos and slapped him across his face hard enough to leave a red impression across his skin before sending him outside to wait for them outside where they would discuss what should be done about their son's behavior.

He sat outside on his knees for hours until finally his parents came out from their bedroom where they had been talking all night long about what should be done with Carlos' life now that he had become so unreliable and selfish in nature that he couldn't even be trusted to stay out late at night without worrying his parents half to death by doing something so foolish! When they finally emerged from their bedroom, they made it clear that they had reached a decision on what needed to be done with their son's life: they would send him away forever; they would find someone who could take care of him where no harm would ever come to him again - someone who could teach him how to pull his own weight! His father walked over towards Carlos and picked up his backpack full of stolen foodstuffs which now lay empty on the floor after all of the food had been eaten by ceasar earlier that morning before making breakfast for himself and leaving it there when he realized that carlos hadn't returned home yet so he expected that something must have kept carlos out all night long hence preventing him from eating any food whatsoever!

He dumped the empty backpack onto Carlos' lap and shook it next to his face in an accusatory manner clearly hinting at what was going on behind those closed doors last night while carlos was out stealing food! "This is why we're sending you away," he said angrily as tears began streaming down his face too now as if he was just as upset about this whole situation as carlos' mother! "You're not worth anything! You can't even harvest our crops anymore or break rocks in our fields! You can't even eat or stay out at night without worrying us half to death every time you do! And now look at yourself! Look at how thin you've become! How sickly weak your body has become since last year alone! You're pathetic!"

"But father-" carlos tried explaining but suddenly found himself unable to speak anymore because carlos' mother suddenly burst through the door between them carrying a large pack containing everything carlos might need on his journey including clothing, money, food... everything besides their love for each other which seemed to have disappeared into thin air overnight leaving only pain behind its wake instead! All three stood there in silence staring at each other intently before

Carlos's father turned towards carlos once more with a stern face saying: "Leave!" And then they both left while ignoring carlos altogether who stood there still holding onto all of these things wondering what just happened right before calling out after them saying: "But where will i go?!" He heard them reply: "We don't care where you go because it won't be here!" And then they slammed their door shut leaving carlos alone outside still standing there holding onto everything belonging to himself including his large pack filled with everything needed for traveling which included clothes, money... everything except for... love?!
