He held the girl in his arms and looked into her eyes, rubbing her back as she sobbed. The weariness in her face had gone away, replaced with that beautiful glow that he liked to see so much.

He leaned in and kissed her on the cheek, careful not to get any tears on his lips. She looked back at him, a smile breaking through the sadness, and returned the kiss on his lips. He was glad that she had gotten over the sadness of the day so quickly. He hated seeing it on her face. Her face was like an angel’s to him. He wanted it to always be smiling.

He wrapped his arms around her while they embraced and kissed again, this time more passionately than before. After a few minutes, they broke apart from each other. They were still holding each other, though now their hands were intertwined as well and their faces were touching gently. "Are you okay?" he asked her softly.

She nodded against his cheek, looking up at him with those beautiful big brown eyes of hers. "Yeah," she said softly. "I'm good."

"Good," he replied with a smile, kissing her forehead tenderly before leaning back slightly to look into her eyes again. "What do you want to do now?"

"Well..." she started as she shifted position in his lap so that both of them were facing forward, sitting side-by-side on the edge of the bed instead of face-to-face like they had been before with their legs intertwined under them on the bed, "... I don't know about you but I think we should spend some time together today."

He grinned and nodded back at her with a shrug. "Okay," he said simply with a nod back at her, "let's do that then."

"Great!" she exclaimed happily while giving him a playful punch on the shoulder--a motion that only frustrated him because of how weak it was compared to how strong she used to be--before turning around and hopping off of him onto the floor beside the bed where she sat cross-legged on the carpeted floor for a moment before getting back up again and walking over to hug him from behind as he stood up from the bed himself. She hugged him from behind while he turned toward her and put his hands on hers where they clutched his midsection over his shirt before leaning down and kissing her forehead again after tightening his own grip around her hands against his chest for a moment. He felt her squeeze tighter around him as well when she closed her eyes and smiled happily after returning his kiss against her forehead again before pulling back slightly again so that they could look into each other's eyes once more.

"I love you," he told her simply before wrapping his arms tightly around himself while holding onto hers with just one hand while using the other hand to caress against one side of her face softly while staring deep into those beautiful brown eyes of hers while thinking about how lucky he was to have found someone like her who loved him so much too after all these years--someone who never got bored or tired of spending time together even after so many years in this relationship together; someone who always forgave him when he made mistakes; someone who always gave just as much love as she took; someone whose beauty never faded no matter what year it was; someone who always seemed to enjoy being around him just as much as he enjoyed being around her; someone whose happiness was more important than anyone else's; someone who had given him two great kids--a boy and a girl--that they would raise together: Ravi & Meera; both named after their grandmothers because Ravi didn't really have a father anymore and neither did Meera); someone who gave him everything he needed--someone who gave him everything he wanted; someone who was willing to let go of everything for him in order to make sure that they could be together forever--because even though no one else outside their relationship knew about this world they lived in--this world known only by them two--where people could live forever if they existed in pairs (and even then those relationships were rare), there were many people out there who would stop at nothing in order to destroy their relationship because it threatened everything these people believed in (they believed in sacrifice for a greater cause) when it came down to it... but none of that mattered anyway because there was nothing more important than keeping them happy (and because almost everyone else thought that relationships like theirs were wrong anyway... even though it wasn't).
