Undainon's Patriotic Awakening
·
Published 6/14/2023When a courageous and sassy young woman from the solar system Undainon, Saira, and her band of heroic friends risk their lives defying the corrupt ruler in a daring mission to restore their freedom, they must brave enigmatic puzzles and life-threatening obstacles to ensure the liberation of their people.

"Adventurer, wake up!" Said a voice that seemed to be right next to my ear.
I opened my eyes and saw a boy about my age giving me a smile. I was in a room that looked like it belonged in an old castle. The stone walls seemed to be hundreds of years old. A small candle was burning on a small wooden table next to the bed I was lying in.
"Where am I?" I asked the boy. "Who are you?"
"My name is Kain, adventurer. You're at the Inn of The Crown and the Stone." Replied Kain. "You had a very bad fall last night and you were brought here for treatment."
"A fall? What happened?" Asked the confused adventurer.
"Well, you see... you were walking along the road when you fell into one of those pits they dig to catch monsters! They usually trap adventurers who wander off the roads through laziness or carelessness." Said Kain with a smile. "If you hadn't been rescued by this innkeeper here, you would have died in there." He said pointing to an old man who was sitting on one of the chairs in the room. The old man gave us a smile before continuing smoking his pipe.
"Wait... so I'm not dead?" Asked the adventurer with a sigh of relief. "I just passed out from exhaustion and hunger?"
Kain laughed before replying: "No no, you're not dead! Don't worry about it!" He said as he walked over to the door and opened it slightly, looking outside before shutting it again and walking back to where we were standing. "You've slept for quite some time now, but now it's time for your first quest!" He said with excitement in his voice.
Kain walked over to one of the chairs and picked up an old book from underneath it, opening it up and showing us something written on one of its pages: "Look at this page." He said while handing me the book. The page showed some sort of map with different symbols engraved over it and below them there was what looked like writing in some strange language that neither Kain nor I could understand. I looked at him with a question mark above my head before handing him back the book and asking what this meant. "It's your first challenge!" Said Kain clearly enjoying himself as he explained things to me slowly. "The symbols show different locations around Undainon". He continued after taking another look at the map in front of us. "If you can visit all of these places without getting caught by anyone and reading their inscription correctly, you'll be able to break our curse!"
