Defying Empires: The Revolt for Freedom

Set in 3rd century France, three empires fought for control of the realm. A fully formed ragtag group of rebels, lead by the fallen knight-on-the-run, Mile Benz, emerged from the chaos and convinced the people to join them in a crusade against a tyrant.

The forces of the tyrant, backed by black magic and ruthless tactics, posed a huge threat to the rebels' success. Day after day, it seemed that the rebels’ cause was doomed, as every move they made opened to them new and insidious threats; yet all was not lost, as still, a glimmer of hope was within their grasp.

Fortunately, a small victory was won, giving hope to the despondent rebels, yet it was only a minor battle and the larger oppressive rulers still loomed in the castle above, vowing to crush any thought of revolt by force. Refusing to be held back, Mile Benz and their group plowed through obstacles, attempting to find moments that would give them a lasting victory on the battlefield.

Not long before an attack, another victory occurred; finding courage, the rebels managed to bring back some supplies in time. Unfortunately, this provided little solace as, soon enough, a surprise attack sent all but a handful of prisoners running, terrified and without direction. Refusing to give up, Mile Benz and their small group that fled into the woods began to plan and devise a way, a possibly bloody way, back into the castle, to overthrow their oppressors once and for all.

Harnessing the power of justice and courage, exploring emotional, ethical and social problems, Mile and the small group finally had their chance for vengeance when in the middle of the night, midnight struck and the rebels took their makeshift castle back, inflicting severe consequences on the tyrant and their forces. In the aftermath, a story of hope and revenge was shared, and how those who seek freedom can be victorious, no matter the cost.
