Rose de l'éternité

Once upon a time, in a small village nestled at the foot of a mountain, there was a young girl named Aurore. She was known for her beauty and kindness. Every morning, she would wake up before dawn to pick roses in her garden, then offer them to the villagers. These roses, with their bright pink color, were known to bring good luck to those who received them.

One day, a young traveler named Tristan arrived in the village. He had traveled through many lands in search of something he couldn't name but weighed heavily on his heart. As soon as he saw Aurore in her garden, his heart raced. She radiated, enveloped in the soft morning light, delicately holding a rose in her hands.

Tristan, moved by her beauty and the serenity that emanated from her, approached. Aurore, lifting her eyes, met his gaze and a gentle smile lit up her face. Without a word, she offered him a rose.

"This rose is for you, stranger. It brings luck to those who receive it," she said softly.

Tristan, touched by this gesture, accepted the rose gratefully. He knew he had found what he had been searching for all along. He felt strangely complete, as if his heart had found its other half.

The days went by and Tristan stayed in the village, finding every excuse to get closer to Aurore. They grew fond of each other and slowly their friendship turned into love. Every morning they would meet at sunrise to pick the roses of dawn together.

However, a shadow loomed over their happiness. Aurore carried a secret within her. Since birth, she had been bound by a curse: the first time she fell in love, she would transform into a rose forever.

One morning, as the sun peeked over the horizon, Tristan turned to Aurore and confessed his love. "Aurore, I love you more than anything in the world. I want to spend the rest of my life by your side."

Aurore felt her heart tighten, knowing that the moment had come. She smiled sadly at Tristan and said, "My dear Tristan, I love you too, more than words can express. But I must tell you the truth. I am a victim of a curse. By confessing our love, I will transform into a rose and disappear forever."

Tristan, stunned, refused to believe in such a fate. "No, Aurore! There must be a way to break this curse."

But Aurore knew it was inevitable. With tears in her eyes, she asked him not to cry for her. "Keep this rose that I have given you. As long as it blooms, I will be with you."

With those words, Aurore transformed into a rose of incomparable beauty that bloomed under the first rays of the sun. Tristan fell to his knees, holding the rose of dawn she had given him. He pressed it against his heart, vowing to love it for eternity.

Years went by and the rose that Aurore had given to Tristan never withered. It remained fresh and alive, a symbol of their eternal love. Tristan grew old, but every morning he would still rise to pick roses in the garden they had shared.

One morning, as the sun was rising, Tristan felt a gentle breeze caress his face. He closed his eyes and smiled, knowing that the time had come for him to join his beloved. When he opened his eyes, he saw Aurore standing before him, radiant and with outstretched arms.
