Unlocking the Ancient Secrets of Egypt

Published 3/31/2023Four daring friends, Zhaoumi, Sofia, Evelyn and Amir, must work together and trust their wits to face ancient magical forces, dangerous traps and hostile villagers, all while locked inside a cursed mystery house in Egypt, in order to escape its secrets alive.
"You guys!" I say, "This place is so creepy!" The others agree, it IS creepy. But we are young. And we are 20 something Egyptian kids. We're not afraid of anything. Except maybe a slight case of the flu or a paper cut. We're not scared of anything. Except maybe our parents finding out about us drinking and smoking weed. For us, this house is nothing but an interesting place to explore.. I mean, who knows what could be in here? We could find thousand year old treasure, we could find a rare manuscript no one has seen for centuries!
"I found the key!" One says, shaking the key chain. Everyone is excited and we all gather around him as he unlocks the door to the ancient house.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!" We all shriek as we enter the dark building. It's just like every other house, I see a kitchen, some stairs leading to an upstairs level. And there's a hallway leading further into the depths of the house.
"Who wants to go first?" I ask, trying to sound brave and cool despite feeling like I'm going to throw up. The others don't answer me back, they are too busy staring at the paintings on the wall that were lit by dim light from outside (I mean, who comes here during broad daylight?). They're paintings of people wearing robes and headdresses that look like they belong in ancient Egypt! And painted in blood! My friends look like they're scared shitless now but I don't care because... yep... I'm gonna throw up now...
*a few minutes later*
I stand up and brush myself off. I was lying on the floor looking very un-cool but who cares? "So you guys gonna explore or what?" I ask my friends who have been standing around looking at each other with looks of sheer terror on their faces for quite a while now. They shrug as if to say 'eh why not?' and start walking deeper into the house. Before long it's just me in the living room by myself because apparently my friends can't stand being with me for some reason.. Alright fine.... if that's how you wanna play it then I'll go ahead and explore by myself!! That'll show them.. Oh wait.. Shit.. What was that noise???
