The first thing you notice about him is the voice. There’s no mistaking it. He made his name with that voice; I remember when he was just a kid of barely twenty, but he was able to make everyone listen. And now, here he is.

I haven’t seen him in person for years, but even if I hadn’t seen his picture on the news and everywhere, I would know him immediately. It’s like you can pick out his voice from a thousand others. You can feel his presence from across a room crowded with people. His eyes look into yours with a force of will that makes you shudder and obey.

I don’t want to think about the last time I saw him, or what happened between us. There’s no point in thinking about the past, not with the future we have ahead of us. It’s been almost two millennia since we parted ways before my exile, and in all this time I thought there was nothing more left between us but bitterness and regret. But now he's here again, and it's impossible not to feel thrilled at the prospect.

He stops by my cage once in a while, when they're sure I'm watching him through my bars as they feed me. The guards are afraid of him, but they stand close enough to be near him whenever he's around; it's as if even their fear can't keep them away from him for long. They call him "Lord" and "Master", which must have been what his followers called him back then -- back before everything changed so much... And then he looks at me through the bars, with that gaze that seems to look right into your soul, and says: "Janet." That's all he says, just my name. Then he turns around and walks away again. Later I find out that they've moved me to another cell, one where they don't have to feed me anymore because they think I won't need any food or water anymore -- a cell where they just put someone who has already given up on hope as much as on life itself. They think that after that gaze of his I'll never speak again; they think that I am already beaten, broken... But I'm not! Not yet!

There's still so much work to do! All these gullible, primitive people! Their superstitions and fears plague them constantly, causing panic and mistrust among their society. Whether it's due to a natural ailment misinterpreted as the result of a curse, or simply an unfortunate event mistaken for a malevolent omen, fear seems to dominate every aspect of their lives.

These seemingly baseless beliefs, however, can grow into something far more sinister when they inspire ideas related to sorcery and witchcraft. When individuals begin to toy with the idea that supernatural forces can be harnessed, manipulated, or even controlled, the reality of their society becomes distorted and dangerous. As unpredictable events occur or mysteries arise, those who seek alternative means of understanding or controlling them are accused of practicing dark magic by their peers.

It seems almost impossible to live a normal existence within such a stifling environment, especially when innocent individuals are wrongfully blamed or persecuted for exercising knowledge beyond the accepted norm. Though progress in science and technology may have occurred over time, a fear of the unknown continues to hold this society back.

But amidst the chaos, there are still rational, level-headed voices that advocate for finding truth and understanding through research and logical deduction. These individuals strive to seek out the reality behind the poignant veil of superstition that looms over their world, and in turn, find practical solutions to whatever problems are at hand. It was with dutiful determination that I set forth to investigate the rumors surrounding a potential threat associated with mysterious electrical phenomena. If this threat was real, immediate action was necessary to prevent catastrophic consequences from befalling our world.

As memories of his piercing gaze resurface in my mind, I find new hope in the possibility that our paths may converge once again. This time, perhaps we can join forces and fight for a brighter future built on understanding and cooperation, rather than fear and unfounded superstition.
