Chapter 1: The First Full Moon

A new family has just moved to a small town. Steven Leduc and Gabrielle Latendresse are both twelve years old, and they are next door neighbors. What they don't know is that they are both supernatural beings: Steven is a werewolf and Gabrielle is a vampire.

They are both about to experience their first full moon. Steven is in his bedroom when he hears a knock on his window. He is startled to see Gabrielle floating outside. She has a pale white face, red eyes, and long black hair. She is wearing a long black dress with a red bow on the front.

Gabrielle explains that she is a vampire and that she has moved to the town to be with her family. She also tells Steven that he is a werewolf. They both talk about how they are nervous about their first full moon. Gabrielle says that she needs to drink blood, and Steven says that he needs to howl at the moon.

Steven asks Gabrielle how she knows all of this, and she tells him that her father has taught her everything there is to know about being a vampire. She then asks him if his father has taught him anything. Steven tells her that his father left when he was little and that his mother never told him anything about being a werewolf.

Gabrielle feels bad for Steven and offers to help him with his transformation. She tells him that she knows a spell that will allow him to transform without the full moon. Steven is excited and agrees to let her help him.

Gabrielle tells Steven to meet her in the woods behind her house at midnight. She tells him to bring a silver chain necklace and a vial of his mother's blood. Steven agrees and watches as Gabrielle floats back to her bedroom.

Chapter 2: The Transformation

Just as Steven is about to give up, he hears a noise coming from under the ground. He watches as the dirt on top of the grave starts to move. He jumps back in surprise as Gabrielle bursts out of the ground.

Gabrielle looks around in confusion. She can't remember what happened or how she got here. She looks at Steven and smiles. She tells him that she had the most amazing dream and that she can't wait to tell him all about it.

Steven is relieved to see Gabrielle alive, but he can't help but feel guilty. He knows that he needs to tell her what happened, but he is afraid of how she will react.

Before Steven can say anything, Gabrielle jumps to her feet and starts running through the woods. She tells Steven to follow her and that she has something to show him.
