"You're in my way, fish."

Taehyung spat out the words as he rose from his seat, glaring down at the poor man. The stranger was tall - even taller than Taehyung - and with a thick beard that covered half of his face. His eyes were bulbous and dark, and he had a sly smile plastered across his face. He'd been seated across Taehyung's table when he sat down, and now that minor offense was punishable by death.

"I ain't no fish," he drawled, not moving an inch. "I ain't never been a fish."

Taehyung let out an aggravated sigh and turned to the bartender, raising two fingers in the air. The bartender nodded, reaching for a bottle of rum behind him. As Taehyung turned back to the man, he noticed that he was still grinning at him like nothing was wrong. Taehyung rolled his eyes, deciding that it didn't matter if the man thought he was a fish; it would take more than a little bar-rude to make him feel insulted. As the bartender slid two glasses of rum down in front of him, Taehyung raised the first glass and gestured for the other man to do the same.

"To men who don't get in my way," Taehyung said as they clinked glasses together. They both downed their drinks, and Taehyung immediately tapped his fingers against the table twice; a signal to his bodyguard to kill this stranger before him.

"Well shit," the man sighed, taking off his vest and throwing it on the ground. "Guess I'm in yer way after all." As soon as his vest made its way to the floor, two large eel-like creatures slithered out from beneath it, wrapping themselves around his arms like snakes. One of them took hold of his staff which had fallen from his belt as well and raised itself into the air, pointing itself directly at Taehyung's forehead.

As soon as Taehyung saw what was happening, he pushed himself away from his table and onto a nearby chair behind him - anything to avoid getting hit with whatever magic this man had conjured up in front of him. Still holding onto one of the eels, the man pulled on its tail with an incredible strength so that it coiled around him like a spiked metal shield. The other eel slithered over to join its friend on its quest to protect its master from harm whilst simultaneously acting as a secondary weapon capable of delivering immense pain if need be.

The wicked smile on his face only grew wider as he stared down at Taehyung - who was currently cowering under a table - with pure satisfaction in his eyes whilst having two deadly creatures wrapped around him like armour protecting him from any possible harm; whether physical or otherwise. The longer they remained still like this however, it seemed that their master's power was beginning to wane; both eels were starting to resemble ordinary snakes rather than weapons of mass destruction capable of inflicting immeasurable amounts of pain on whomever they chose to attack; they were losing colour by the second until eventually they returned back into normal serpents again before slithering away into hiding underneath their master's clothes once more. By this point though, Taehyung had already stood back up again, looking ready for battle once more despite how much fear he'd felt just moments ago...but then again fear is just another emotion that could be manipulated by those who know how best to use it correctly - especially someone like Kim Taehyung who knew how exactly how to influence people with such vulnerable emotions such as fear or love or greed or anger or sadness or even joy...of course there were many more emotions that could be used but these were enough for now considering that there's only so much time in a day for things like this...and also because Kim Taehyung spent most of his time manipulating these emotions in others rather than experiencing them himself so therefore he wasn't entirely sure how many other emotions existed anyway...but regardless of how many there may be there are still plenty more uses for them other than manipulating people into doing your bidding!

With a sudden burst of confidence, Taehyung straightened his posture, determined to face this mysterious man head-on. The once fearful expression on his face morphed into a mischievous smirk. He couldn't help but admire the stranger's unique abilities, appreciating the unexpected challenge he had presented. It had been a while since Taehyung had encountered someone who could actually hold their ground against him.

"What's your name, stranger?" Taehyung's voice dripped with intrigue as he moved closer to the man, completely unfazed by the magical display that had just transpired.

The man chuckled, the sound resonating through the room. "Names aren't important, fish. They're mere labels that hold no true significance. It's the actions that define a person."

Taehyung cocked an eyebrow, his curiosity piqued. "Fair enough. But shouldn't we at least know who we're fighting against?"

A flicker of amusement danced across the stranger's eyes. "If you insist on knowing, they call me Jiang," he finally replied, his voice tinged with a hint of mystery.

Taehyung's smile widened, his competitive spirit igniting a surge of energy within him. He had always been attracted to challenges, and he had a feeling that Jiang would be his most formidable opponent yet. He had grown weary of his countless victories against feeble adversaries.

"Well, Jiang," Taehyung began, his voice laced with excitement. "How about we make a little wager?"

Jiang's lips curved into a wicked grin. "I'm listening."

Taehyung leaned in closer, ensuring that their conversation remained confidential. "I propose a duel. You and I, fighting together against the forces of darkness."

Jiang's eyes sparkled with interest. "So, you believe we could be a formidable team?"

Taehyung nodded confidently. "Absolutely. Your control over those creatures combined with my strategic prowess would be unstoppable. Together, we could change the trajectory of this world."

A flicker of doubt flashed across Jiang's face, but he quickly concealed it. "Fine, I accept your challenge. But remember, fish, I'm not one to follow blindly. Our objectives must align."

Taehyung grinned, impressed by Jiang's caution. "Agreed. We fight for what we believe in. No compromises."

As the two men sealed their alliance with a firm handshake, an electric energy pulsed through the air. They shared a common goal, driven by a desire to challenge the status quo and bring justice to a world plagued by darkness. They were prepared to wage a new kind of battle, one that went beyond personal gain.

As they stood side by side, adrenaline coursing through their veins, Taehyung couldn't help but feel a surge of exhilaration. Standing before him was not just an adversary but a potential companion who could push him beyond his limits. Together, he and Jiang would become a force to be reckoned with.

Little did either of them know, their partnership would change the course of history. From that moment forward, they would be known as the legendary duo, feared and revered by all who stood in their way. And as they ventured into the unknown, their shared destiny unfolded, revealing secrets and uncovering truths that would shape their lives forever.
