There once was a man who lived on the planet Leponene, in the outer reaches of our universe.
He was a quiet man. He liked to spend his days in solitude. He had two friends that he spent time with every week, but other than those two friends, he hardly ever interacted with anyone else.
His friends were a married couple and they always invited him to their home for dinner on Wednesdays and Sundays.
They lived in a small apartment and the three of them would sit together at their kitchen table, drinking warm milk out of ceramic cups and eating homemade bread.
The man would sometimes notice that the wife would stare at him for longer than felt socially appropriate. He thought she might have been attracted to him, but he didn't think much of it because he thought he was unattractive and that she was probably just staring because he was a quiet loner with very little social experience.
They would then talk about the things they did over the week and how they were all going to go on a trip together to Jupiter next month. They all loved traveling through space and seeing new worlds. The husband and wife were excited about this trip because they had heard there is supposedly life on Jupiter. It made the man feel lonely, because while they could visit Jupiter next month, he wouldn't be able to go with them because of his work responsibilities back on Leponene. The man's job was as an accountant in his planet's local government offices and since no one else on Leponene did accounting, he couldn't ask for time off from work without it causing trouble for the stability of their economy back home.
On Mondays the man went to his apartment alone where he ate salad for dinner and watched old crime dramas from Earth on his television set that used to be state-of-the-art when it was released on his planet centuries ago but now seemed rather outdated compared to modern tv shows from Earth which are broadcasted throughout the universe.
The man's name was Dranoxxu and he had never dated anyone before in his life.
