Tom sat on the edge of his sister's bed, staring at the dust particles floating in the light that streamed through the window. His attention shifted to a book lying open on the floor, a pencil marking a page. He picked it up and read the passage: "Stay." It was Murph's handwriting.

"Where did you go, Murph?" Tom whispered.

A low rumbling sound caught his attention. He turned towards her bedroom wall as it began to vibrate. The rumbling grew louder, and he could feel the floor beneath him shaking.

"What is going on?" Tom stood up, his heart racing.

Suddenly, the wall in front of him cracked open, revealing a blinding light. Tom shielded his eyes as he stumbled back.

The light faded, and Tom cautiously approached the now glowing crack in the wall. He peered inside and gasped at what he saw: a vast expanse of stars stretching out before him.

"Is this...a wormhole?" Tom's mind raced with possibilities.

He reached into his pocket for his phone and quickly snapped a photo of the anomaly. Then he grabbed a notebook from Murph's desk and transcribed the coordinates that were displayed near the wormhole's entrance.

"I have to show Dad," Tom said determinedly.

He hurried out of Murph's room and made his way downstairs. As he descended, he noticed how quiet and still the house was. It felt empty without their parents there.

Tom found his father in his makeshift office, surrounded by books and papers filled with complex equations.

"Dad!" Tom exclaimed. "You won't believe what I found in Murph's room!"

Cooper looked up from his work, curiosity piqued by his son's urgency.

"What is it?"

"A wormhole! In her bedroom wall! And look at these coordinates." Tom handed over the notebook with shaky excitement. "I think we should check it out."

Cooper studied the notebook, his brow furrowing. He recognized the significance of what Tom had discovered.

"This changes everything," he said quietly.

Cooper and Tom made their way to Murph's room, the wormhole still visible through the crack in the wall. Cooper couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and trepidation.

"Stay curious, Murph," he whispered to himself before stepping through the wormhole with Tom close behind.

Tom looked at his father, confusion etched on his face. "What are you talking about?"

Cooper explained what he had uncovered: NASA had intentionally caused the global famine in order to control the remaining resources and population. They believed that humanity's only chance for survival was to find another habitable planet beyond our solar system.

"But they never told anyone," Tom said incredulously. "They let people starve while they worked on their secret plan."
