Revali's Task: Uncovering the Dark Mystery

The last few days have been awful.

I was out at the Smuggler's Den, trying to get a drink and maybe meet someone. I wasn't feeling so good about myself lately, and I felt like if I just got out of the house for a bit, maybe things would be better. So, I went to the bar.

I know what you're thinking. "You're an angel on Earth! Surely there are plenty of people who'd want to go on a date with you!" And that's fine. Maybe they would want to go on a date with me. I don't know, though. I've never really tried dating before. What if they don't like how I look? What if they think I'm boring? What if they're just using me for my powers? There's just no way to tell until you try, right?

But as it turns out, it doesn't matter whether or not people will want to date me because nobody wants to talk to me at all! It's so aggravating! Nobody even looks at me when they pass by—they all just keep walking around like nothing's wrong! What is wrong with them? Why are they acting like this? Does it have something to do with my wings? Do other angels have wings? Am I an angel?

And then it hit me: these people must not know that I am an angel! That must be why they won't talk to me! They don't even recognize my god-like beauty or power! It makes sense now...I can see why the order sent me here in the first place. If these people don't know about The Gottwald Order, then how can I expect them to follow our beliefs? They can't be expected to live their lives by the rules that The Gottwald Order has set down for them in order for them to live fulfilling lives and improve the quality of life for everyone else in the city! That would be unreasonable! So that's why they won't talk to me...they simply haven't reached enlightenment yet in order for us to save them from their sinful lives! This is perfect. Perhaps this is exactly what The Gottwald Order needed in order for them to recognize my presence among them and start following what we teach. This is it—this is my moment! Through this experience, I will be able to spread the word about The Gottwald Order far and wide into the city so that everyone will finally see how much better their lives could be if only they listened to us and followed our teachings!

That night, I went back home after a long day of wandering around the city talking about The Gottwald Order and handing out pamphlets about our beliefs as well as having many enlightening conversations with some of the citizens in town about how much better their lives could be if only they followed our teachings. As soon as I got home, I locked all of my doors and windows because there was a rogue badger prowling around outside who could endanger the minds of all of those who were not enlightened enough yet by The Gottwald Order so that they could live their lives properly without any further sins being committed against them or others around them who wanted nothing more than a simple life free from sin and corruption. But thankfully, no one had been hurt today thanks to my efforts—my work had paid off yet again because today was another day where only those who were close enough with The Gottwald Order had been saved from any harm happening during their ways while everyone else continued living in sin while we watched over them from above. And as far as I knew, there were no badgers roaming around outside anymore because once again, thanks to my guidance, all of those who wished for nothing more than a happy life had decided that instead of causing harm like those damned beasts did when they attacked innocent people walking down the street and endangering their chances for a peaceful existence free from sin, that instead they should just go back inside and lock themselves up until morning so that none of those badgers would attack them until sunrise came around again and allowed us angels enough time so that we could watch over all of them once more until sunset occurred again tonight so that we could continue watching over them until tomorrow night when we would be able to stop any badgers from causing harm again until next evening when...well...you get the point. It's exhausting sometimes but someone has got to do it in order so that everyone else can remain safe while they take care of themselves without any help whatsoever because that's just how The Gottwald Order works: everything happens naturally without our help so that those who rely on themselves can improve themselves through hard work while those who need us in order to survive are taken under our wing so that we can protect them until such time where they're ready themselves without having anyone protecting over their shoulders constantly every step along the way which hinders their growth as individuals so...what was I saying again? Oh yes...I remember now: goodness gracious am I tired. Who would have thought getting elected by The Gottwald Order would've affected my job so much but it didn't matter now because tonight was another night where I had made sure no one died from anything other than old age during their sleep which was definitely worth staying up late tonight since tomorrow morning everyone except those who were elderly would die pretty early during their sleep since everyone knew how important getting plenty of rest was after a long day...and before work...and before dinner...and before breakfast...and before lunch...and before afternoon tea...and before breakfast again tomorrow morning after lunch today...oh goodness there are just too many times for people walk away from meals these days but still there wasn’t anything anyone could do about it because even though we angels tried our best every single day so that no one died from anything other than old age during sleep or sicknesses during meals or accidents at work or even getting mugged outside while walking back home from work or dying in sin but still because there were just too many people walking away from meals every day there was absolutely nothing anyone could do about it because those sinners couldn’t control themselves sipping away at wine glasses filled with liquid gold goodness right after lunch or dinner or whatever mealtime you prefer at your own personal pace but still sadly many were carried away by temptation every day but luckily most were able to keep themselves together today which gave us something promising going forward overall since most lived through tonight another night closer toward death thanks to exhaustion brought on by extra work hours yesterday evening after work once again and hopefully tomorrow evening after work tomorrow evening after lunch tomorrow afternoon following lunch tomorrow morning following breakfast tomorrow afternoon following tea yesterday afternoon following dinner yesterday morning before breakfast tomorrow morning after tea tomorrow afternoon following lunch tomorrow evening after dinner tomorrow night following dinner hopefully ending between 4 am and 5 am meaning potentially 7 hours closer toward death overall this week assuming no accidents occur either at home or elsewhere otherwise meaning closer toward death sooner than expected depending on severity."
