A Snarky Alliance: Luna and Bahan's Journey to Hope

Luna, an orphan in Brazil in the early medieval era, walked alone, desperate to evade the government’s watchful eye. Scarred by her difficult childhood, which is left largely to the reader’s imagination, she had never known a moment of true respite from misfortune.

As she walked along the barren roads, desperately looking for a place to hide, a snarky yet wise looking bandit approached her. Baum— eyes full of judgement and wit— seemed to recognize immediately that Luna was running from something, and warned her about his doubts that she’d be able to make it on her own. Being on the run was nothing new for this lawless freebooter, and he quickly invited her to join him in his small group of rebels. Desperate for a safe haven and comfortable with Bahan’s blunt authority, Luna accepted.

The unlikely duo began their journey, their destinies strangely intertwined. Along the way they encountered an array of mysterious characters, each more colorful than the last, each unfolding more secrets about the cyberpunk society they barely understood. Luna and Bahan exchanged blows, jokes, and insights as they navigated the cyber realm, dodging danger at every phase of their journey.

Finally, after months of travelling and unbelievable perseverance, Luna and Bahan reached the mysterious city of Shima, a cyberpunk far city that had long been a symbol of home for any marginalized vagabond. On the city’s gates, gigantic spires of the future towered above them, the shiny glass and metallic surfaces dizzyingly beautiful and diverse.

As the two made their way through the streets, their days together had not only taught them more about the outside world, but also about themselves. Through their confrontations and awkward shared moments, Luna and Bahan began to understand more about their connection. Joking and banter was often used as a subtle means of expressing their hidden admiration of one another, as they grew more comfortable in each other’s presence.

That comfort was put to the test soon after their arrival in Shima. In searching for the rebels’ safe house it prompted the local government’s attention. Taking no prisoners, their maliciously trained guards forced Luna and Bahan into their interrogation room, swiftly attempting to retrieve sensitive intel about theRebels’ network.

A wild and violent fight ensued, and Luna and Bahan eventually managed to escape the certain doom of imprisonment or worse. Receiving only minor wounds, the two were free to continue their adventure, however the Rebel’s safe house had been compromised. With the law’s pursuit intensifying, the fate of the Rebel’s network was left uncertain.

In a desperate attempt to uphold the Rebel’s mission, the duo ventured deep into the cyberpunk underworld and infiltrated a secure government facility. Armed with mere intuition, the raging spirit of a fugitive and impressive physical and tactical skills, Luna and Bahan easily managed to disguise themselves as government officials and infiltratethe nerve center of the city.

Once inside, the two weakened the tech infrastructure of the facility, which slowly paralyzed other parts of the security system. Assisted by several Rebel allies, the two wreaked enough havoc to force the authorities to flee, allowing the Rebels to gain full control of the region.

As the sun set, a newfound sense of hope spread throughout the streets of Shima. Bahan and Luna, who had helped make this moment possible, shared a tender and soulful kiss before they continued their journey together. After having navigated hardships and made peace with their pasts, the two of them finally had the opportunity to move forward with courage and faith— a sign that allcyberpunk citizens, who lacked safety and security in their darkest hours, can finally have a better future.

The story ends with no further conclusions, but with a hopeful note— leaving it up to the reader to ponder events long after the book’s last page.
