Maverick and Goose stand next to one of the prototype jets, admiring its sleek design.

MAVERICK

Can you believe it, Goose? We're

finally getting out of these old

Tomcats!

GOOSE

It's about time, Maverick. I can't

wait to see what these new birds

can do.

INT. FLIGHT SIMULATOR - DAY
