Rosa was walking with her father through the streets of Creta when a Solomat hovercar flew overhead and fired down at a group of people. She couldn't see who they were, but she heard them scream as they fell to the ground. As they left, Rosa looked up at the hovering car in awe. It was beautiful, in an evil kind of way.

"Rosa," her father said, turning to her, "that car is called a Solomat. It's made by the evil Solomat company, which controls our city."

Rosa didn't know what that meant, but she knew it had something to do with why there were no other cars in Creta. She had seen them on the holos before, flying through the sky like birds. But now she knew that those cars weren't birds; they were products of this evil company called Solomat. She often wondered why things were so different here.

"But how did they get here?" Rosa asked. "Why don't we have any cars here? And how does any of this make them evil?"

"They got here because they bribed our government," her father answered, "and that's why the mayor gave them all of his power and money. Now he lives in their palace while everyone else has to live on the streets like rats."

This was too much for Rosa to understand all at once, but she knew that she would never look at that hovercar or its owners with simple curiosity again. From now on, all she would see is evil, no matter how nice it looked.

Five years later...

Creta was a city full of fear and despair under Soloman's rule. The people who lived outside of the city walls were starving and desperate enough to risk death at the hands of his soldiers every day just for a chance at food or shelter that Creta provided for free within its walls each day. Many didn't make it back alive, but still more came every day. Even though Rosa's family lived outside of the walls, her father worked for the mayor and thus didn't have to worry about starvation or being killed by soldiers every morning as he went to work every day but he couldn't help but feel pity for those poor souls suffering outside his home everyday as he waited at Creta's gate each morning for it to open just so he could get inside and go off to work while they waited outside in fear and hope hoping someone would let them in without getting killed and thrown out after being robbed by thugs or soldiers passing through looking for thieves or spies or whatever else they thought those poor souls might be thinking about doing wrong. No one ever stopped to think about whether or not these people were actually guilty of something or if anyone might be dying because there weren't enough places inside Creta for more people to live inside its walls where it was safe from those soldiers but somewhere deep down Rosa knew that her father was right... That's exactly what was happening and nobody cared and even worse than that, nobody seemed willing to do anything about it! Why? She didn't know... All she knew is that it needed to change somehow!

As Rosa continued walking home from school alone one evening after dark she saw two men lurking nearby in an alleyway who quickly disappeared when they saw her walking past them. She didn't feel scared though because she knew better than most people how dangerous Soloman's men really are so instead of running away she walked straight toward them while calling out "Hey! What are you doing lurking around my street corner?" They ran off as soon as they realized she wasn't scared by their presence so Rosa walked into their hiding place where one man lay dead on his back with two small holes in his chest and blood everywhere soaking his shirt red along with the cobblestone beneath him as well as another man lying face down next to him also with two small holes in his back surrounded by a large pool of blood forming around him as well as the cobblestones below it on the ground which glistened like rubies shining brightly under the moonlight illuminating everything around Rosa who didn't move from where she stood watching everything around her until suddenly everything went silent... Suddenly there was nothing around her except blackness... Suddenly everything was gone... Suddenly there wasn't any light anymore! Suddenly everything around her turned black! Everything... Everything... Everything... Then suddenly there wasn't any blackness anymore! There was light again! There was everything again! There was color again! There was sound again! There was movement again! Everything went back to normal again! Suddenly Rosa felt good again! Suddenly Rosa felt refreshed again! Suddenly Rosa felt alive again! Suddenly Rosa felt strong again! Suddenly Rosa felt confident again! Suddenly Rosa felt courageous again! Suddenly Rosa felt brave again! Suddenly Rosa felt smart again! Suddenly Rosa felt intelligent again! Suddenly Rosa felt sharp-minded again: suddenly she remembered what happened earlier today when two men cornered her near a park when she heard footsteps behind her but kept walking anyway knowing more than likely it would be someone trying to rob her since most people aren't allowed anywhere near that park anymore unless you're wearing a special badge proving you work for Soloman himself which meant anyone who tried robbing her probably thought she worked for him too since anyone who doesn't wear one is considered a criminal these days which meant if anyone tried robbing her then it probably wouldn't end well for whoever tried doing so since there'd be nothing left of them after getting caught except maybe some bone fragments scattered across whatever floor happens to be beneath them right now assuming someone hadn't gotten there first before me since I'm actually pretty good at breaking bones myself... But no one ever got close enough during those times either so I always just walked away thinking nothing bad could happen while remembering all the stories my parents told me about how Creta used to be before everyone started living outside its walls where they're forced into poverty while living under constant threat caused by violent criminals dressed up as soldiers paid by Soloman himself who roam through Creta robbing people at gunpoint or maybe even killing them depending on their mood since most people are too afraid to stand up against him especially since if you do then you'll probably die so I guess it's not surprising why most people choose not doing anything about this fucked up situation except me apparently because I've decided I'm tired standing around being afraid anymore so I'm going to start doing something about putting an end once and for all if I can only figure out how although I know whatever I try won't matter if someone doesn't help me find out more about how this all happened including from whom exactly because none of this makes sense and yet I know that somehow there must be some reason behind everything otherwise why would God have created such a perfect world filled with amazing cultures capable of creating amazing technology only then allow something like this terrible situation arise destroying everything we had built together forever? Somehow I need answers before going ahead with my plan otherwise I'm afraid I might end up like those poor souls living outside Creta walls suffering in hunger and fear waiting each day hoping someone will finally let us inside without getting killed or thrown out after being robbed by thugs or soldiers passing through looking for thieves or spies or whatever else they think we might be thinking about doing wrong whenever those gates open each morning knowing full well most days they won't open long enough nor tall enough meaning we'll likely be killed later today just like yesterday tomorrow and everyday thereafter like our children will likely be born into poverty later today just like we were born into poverty yesterday tomorrow and everyday thereafter until finally leaving us behind when we're old enough to realize everything we ever dreamed about is dead thanks to a single person named Solomon who made sure none of us could ever have any fun ever again just like my parents told me when telling me stories about times when things used to be different long ago before Solomon took control over everything making sure none of us could ever change anything ever again either unless he said we could which means someday soon some young person will try figuring out how things became this way eventually learning why from their parents who learned from theirs who learned from theirs until finally reaching me hopefully sooner rather than later otherwise all my friends will die meaning no one will ever exist capable of bringing back all those beautiful freedoms lost forever causing us all never seeing sunlight among other far worse things never hearing laughter never feeling happiness never seeing color never experiencing love never experiencing joy never experiencing love ever again forever until finally counting down eternity abandoned by God himself having suffered more pain than anyone can survive enduring eternal damnation every second wishing death upon ourselves each day praying life would end already realizing too late nothing matters anymore so long as something ends meaning life itself has ended once again becoming infinite no longer lasting forever simply existing infinitely repeating itself endlessly generating infinite possibility while simultaneously denying infinity meaning death itself has occurred once more meaning God himself has died once more meaning Satan reigns supreme once more causing hell on Earth once more leading humanity into eternal darkness unable [to] escape [the] depths [of] darkness once more losing sight [of] God himself while staring [into] eyes [of] death once more allowing darkness [to] reign supreme [over] light [once more allowing] evil [to] triumph over goodness leading [into] total destruction once more leading human civilization back into ancient history never returning yet remaining unchanged forever trapped inside time always existing infinitely repeating itself endlessly until suddenly life
