“It’s like this, you see. My hair is the key to the universe.”

The Doctor looked at the young lady with a quizzical expression. “I’m sorry, Miss…?” he asked hesitantly.

She smiled and offered her hand. “Cassiopeia. But please, call me Cassie.”

The stranger shook her hand politely. “Erm, yes, well I assure you that I am no Doctor at all, miss. I just call myself that because it sounds classy, really it does. So what would your hair be doing with the universe? Is there something wrong with your hair?”

She giggled softly and blushed lightly. “No, nothing wrong with it at all! It’s just that my hair holds the secrets of the universe and if I don’t protect them well enough then…well, then everything will fall apart and we’ll never know how or why!” She gave a sharp gasp as she realized what she said was true and she now had to protect herself from the truth itself!

The stranger tried to look serious for a moment before breaking into a warm smile once more. “Well that sounds dire indeed! Let me help you then!” He pulled out a small metallic device from his coat pocket and pressed on several buttons until it emitted a soft *beep*. “Ahh, there we are then! You have one hour left before everything falls apart! We must hurry! Where shall we go first? Oh wait, let me introduce myself properly first before we go off gallivanting through time and space like two bumbling old fools! My name is Michael Smith and I hail from the planet Earth in the year 2017 AD if that means anything to you!”

Cassie smiled at him fondly and took his arm excitedly as they rocketed through space in his blue box which was disguised as an old police phonebox so no one could tell how advanced it actually was without looking inside. They landed in a sprawling field of flowers where they met up with a young girl who was shining brightly like the sun itself while standing next to some flowers. She turned around at their arrival and waved happily at them as they approached her curiously.

Michael Smith smiled at her warmly as he introduced them both formally. “Hello there dear flower girl! Welcome to our adventures! This is Cassie here who claims that she has some kind of magical hair that may save all of the universe if we find out how to use it correctly! And this is Miss Sunflower here whom I met a few days ago when I was lost in this very field looking for my way back home again after I managed to get myself stuck in another dimension after trying to open a portal using my new space pen but instead managed to teleport myself over fifty years into the future where I landed right on top of Queen Victoria herself which caused quite an uproar among her royal guardsmen who thought I was some kind of an evil wizard from beyond time itself coming to kill their beloved queen but instead just ended up shoving me into a mental asylum for a week until an inquisitive doctor managed to realize I wasn’t crazy after all but instead just an average man stuck in an extraordinary situation which caused him to eventually release me back into society once more though he did insist that I take up some private lessons on proper grammar usage instead since apparently I talk awful nonsense like this constantly all day long but I think it makes me sound edgy or intelligent or something or other and so people think I'm really cool when really they're just too scared not to agree with me!" He laughed heartily at himself before continuing his introduction speech without missing a beat as he pointed down at Sunflower's face smilingly as he continued talking "Anyway yes, thanks to this stupid flower girl here who insists on being so bright all day long she shines happily into my window every morning so early in fact that she wakes up half my town so early in fact that everyone thinks that their clock clocks need fixing again which causes people to get angry again because they think it's someone else's fault again but cause nobody knows who's actually responsible for fixing them instead so people just end up blaming each other instead when really it's just dumb flower girl here who keeps waking us up early every morning instead." He sighed deeply before continuing on his tangent "But anyway yes, please meet Sunflower here whom has been my best friend ever since last year when she first moved into town before finding out about this field and moving out here permanently because she liked the sun so much she decided to make herself live there now forever more instead *cough*" He paused for breath for a moment before resuming speaking "Where were we? Oh yes right, well anyways stay awhile won't you? We have much work ahead of us if we're going to find out what Cassie's magical hair can do!"
