It was a damp, dark night. As the rain poured down, the city was shrouded in fog and shadows. The streets were empty, save for a lone woman walking through the early hours of morning. Her footsteps echoed on the pavement, as she made her way across three lanes of traffic, towards a building that rose above the rest.

The lobby of the building was silent, save for the gentle hum of fluorescent lights and the occasional squeak from someone's shoes. She approached the front desk and leaned over to speak to the receptionist. "I'm here to see Mr... Let's see here," she said as she looked at her phone for directions, "Mr. Wright? He's expecting me."

"Yes ma'am," replied the receptionist, "you're in luck too; he called not twenty minutes ago and said that he's ready for you now. You can take elevator number three to his office on the twentieth floor."

As she walked toward the bank of elevators, a security guard walked up to her and offered his assistance. "Here ma'am, let me escort you to your meeting with Mr Wright," he said as he put an arm around her waist and guided her toward elevator number three. "I hope this rain doesn't make your hair all frizzy."

"Oh don't worry about that," she replied with a blush as they entered into an empty elevator car. "These new straighteners are really great; even if my hair gets wet, it'll still be straight by morning."

"That's good to hear," said the guard as he pressed twenty and winked at her.

The car smoothly rose up until it reached its destination and opened its doors for them to exit. The woman stepped out first and found herself alone in an empty hallway with nothing but red carpeting leading further down into darkness until it ended at a single door that had a brass nameplate next to it engraved with 'Robert Wright - Chief Executive Officer'. She knocked on his door once and waited patiently for him to respond from behind it.

After a minute or two, she heard his muffled voice call out from inside his office. "Come in!" She gently turned the knob on his door, opening it just enough for her to slip through before closing it behind her again.

The room itself was pitch black except for a small lamp illuminating only half of Robert's face as he sat at his desk reading some documents while chewing on his pen cap like he has been doing all night long. He looked up from his work when she entered: "Ahh yes! You must be Suzy then?" When she nodded back at him to confirm that she indeed is who he thought she is, Robert stood up from behind his desk quickly with excitement in his eyes: "Great! I'm so glad you've arrived! Please have a seat," he said as he gestured toward one of two chairs in front of his desk before walking behind it himself to sit down again in his own chair as well.

She pulled out one of the chairs and slowly sat down on top of it while Robert pushed away some papers from one side of his desk onto another before tapping on the surface lightly with a free hand; signalling for her to lean forward closer so that he can address her privately without having anyone else eavesdrop on them: "Suzy..." He started off softly so that she can hear what he has to say over the sound of rain pelting against windows outside while thunder shook their building every few seconds. "...I want you be honest with me here; we're alone together now so there's no need for any games between us right?" As she nodded back once more to show him that she understands what he wants from her, Robert continued on: "You know why I called you here right? I mean... It's not like this kind of thing happens every day."

She nodded back again once more before replying softly: "You want me to give you my perspective on what happened yesterday evening right? After what happened?" She paused momentarily before continuing on: "You want me... To tell you how I feel about seeing another man touching my wife like you did last night?" She could feel heat rise up from within herself as anger took hold of her thoughts: "Is that correct Mr Wright? Is that what you want me-"

Before she could finish speaking however, Robert interrupted by placing one finger against her lips which silenced her immediately after feeling how soft they were against hers; just like everything else about this woman whom Robert couldn't seem to stop thinking about since they met yesterday afternoon: "Please just call me Robert; this isn't exactly business related after all..." He pulled away his finger from touching hers but kept looking directly into her eyes which caused Suzy to blush ever so slightly under his gaze: "...And yes, I do want your opinion... Your perspective... On what happened yesterday evening." As their silence grew longer than either wanted between them however, Suzy finally broke it by leaning back away from him once more: "...But if it's alright with you Robert... Why don't we start this conversation over again?" She shifted in her chair ever so slightly before saying anything else: "...Why don't we start over again from scratch?"

Robert leaned back in return against his own chair while putting both hands together across his stomach before looking back at Suzy who gave him an approving nod towards starting their conversation over again by saying something back towards him instead: "...Well... What would you like to talk about first then?" He asked quietly while trying not get too excited about seeing this beautiful woman across from him chewed upon fingernails while blushing hard while looking just as nervous as he felt inside himself just moments ago when they were alone together in complete silence listening only unto each other breathe in deep breaths through their noses and out through their mouths respectively; almost like they were two animals living inside of their own natural habitats trying not get eaten by predators lurking nearby at all times during moments such [in]opportune [for] others around them sitting still in anxiety waiting for their prey's momentary slip ups before striking against them with jaws wide open ready for blood dripping everywhere until there was nothing left but bones left behind amidst general chaos reigning everywhere until order was restored once more afterwards... But then again maybe those thoughts weren't entirely accurate because none of those ideas seemed fitting enough considering how much time passed since neither one spoke anything else towards one another until Suzy finally decided to break that silence once more by offering something worthwhile towards their discussion instead.
