Harnessing Chaos: A Journey of Transcendence

The sky is falling and the water is floating in impossible waves and no one knows why. A strange darkly humorous figure appears and starts to command the chaos, introducing himself as Death. “It’s time to build a new world,” he proclaims. Death assembles a strange motley crew of characters that have all been ousted by their previous lives and feel like they have nowhere to turn. At first, the characters mistrust this figure of Death, but he immediately begins to work his magic. The wizard is pragmatic, the dragon cowardly, the small steam-punk automaton full of wonder, and the spirit-conjuring medium brave and wily and ready to take on any trouble that comes their way. The characters blink and Death has amassed the ultimate war party—a combination of eclectic realities and personalities that could never exist except in this alternative world. They know their mission is to find out what is causing the disaster and how to stop it before it’s too late. Death begins to share parts of his plan. He precedes a weaving of conversations around the causes and effects of the collapse happening as lightning reconfigures itself across the sky. Death creates his plan, a unique journey that will bring out the best and worst of each character, testing their courage and strength while pushing them beyond their comfort zone. “In order to save this world,” he says, “you must first save yourselves.” On a crag in the forgotten lands of America, the group could clearly see the destruction below that had already been wrought by the chaos. With no going back, the journey has begun.

The war party engages in vigorous travel, moving swiftly from one crisis to the next. Limited by complicated realities and puzzles this uncanny crew learns how to work together, binding with a newfound camaraderie. As it goes on, the party gets to know each other better and their individual stories become intertwined with each other. They come to realize how seemingly small actions could trigger a chain of destruction and beauty, that the new world Death is dreaming up can only exist if the characters allow themselves to be changed by it forever. While the stakes seem insurmountably high and the possibilities of destruction great, darkly humorous moments still present themselves. Things get complicated when they discover they are being hunted by a rival crew and ghosts of their past begin to haunt them as they move. They have to find a way to outsmart their enemies, solve the complex puzzles, and decode the mysteries of this people-altering timeline before it is too late.

As the journey continues the rival crew intensifies its pursuit, the moral burden of their mission getting heavier and heavier with each passing mile they gain. Tempers rise, courage is tested, and enemies face off against each other. Just when it seems all is lost and the rivals draw close, the characters make a crucial discovery that could be the answer to their crisis. But as the understanding dawns upon them, new questions arise as to the truth of their mission and the fate of the strange new lands born from the skyfall and the illusions between world's flip.

Death continues to weave conversations between past and present, real and false, good and evil. The threads start to pull at the fabric of their chosen path, revealing the inextricable ties of the characters' identities and their growing desire to do what must be done. The characters separate themselves from the enemy and use their newfound understanding of the impossible system around them to destroy the threats brought down by their rivals and the secrets left by the skyfall. The characters have made it to their climax and soon they all realize that the defeats and stories they’ve had on their journey have been preparing them for this task — to save the world. Arm in arm, they march together and enter a victory of understanding unrivaled by any before and the new world is born out of the chaos brought by their mission. The characters begin to understand and embrace each other for who they are, ready to write the epilogue of their story themselves. A story told in lyrical words, one that speaks to all and changes the lives of all who witness it forever.
