"I'm sorry, I don't know what to say."

Her face was bright red. She knew she had just ruined everything. The silence stretched on and on as they stared at each other. Finally, the moment ended with a sigh and a shake of her head.

"Okay... well..." she said, sounding defeated.

The silence came back, only this time it was more awkward. He sat there, looking at her expectantly, hoping she would say something else. Anything else. Hoping that maybe he had misunderstood or something.

Nothing happened for a few moments until finally she spoke again in that same defeated tone, "Well... uh... bye I guess." She turned towards the door and gave it a gentle push expecting it to open easily. It didn't budge an inch though, so she pushed again with more force than the first time. Still nothing happened. After several more tries, she looked back over her shoulder at him and asked, "S-So how do you open this thing?"

He sighed and rose from his chair, walking over to where she was standing in front of the door and grasped the handle firmly with one hand while using his other to hold up his pants which were sagging around his ankles. He pulled the door open and ushered her through before closing it behind them again once they were both outside in the hallway.

The look on her face was priceless as he turned to face her again, still holding onto his pants as he tried to adjust them so they wouldn't fall down again any time soon. He could see that she wanted to say something but didn't know what to say either. Again there was an awkward silence between them for a few minutes before he finally broke it by asking her if she had any idea why he would have opened the door like that seeing as how he had been fully dressed when he'd opened it only moments before they had both left.

She shrugged apologetically and admitted she had no idea at all but that whenever they saw each other things always seemed to happen like they did now; weird things that made no sense at all. She continued telling him that sometimes doors wouldn't open when they went out of them together; sometimes lights wouldn't turn on or off right away when one of them flipped the switch; sometimes when they went out to buy food things would be missing from the cart or there would be an extra item or two; even stranger things happened but those were rarer than the little stuff so those examples were all she could remember off the top of her head in their conversation about strange occurrences whenever they were together.

"So... is it just me doing these things then or is it us both?" he asked curiously after listening to her list of things that happened when they were together as best as she could recall them all after so long apart from him not being able to remember most of them himself because he went out of places alone all the time without ever remembering anything strange happening afterwards but now knowing there was a reason behind why some things came to pass the way they did whenever he was with her now that he knew this new information about himself and wondered if there were other things happening too perhaps not listed by her that happened whenever they were together but just hadn't noticed yet and might miss if he ended up leaving her today instead of staying with her like he thought about doing right then as a choice between leaving or staying with her crossed his mind along with another option though: tell everyone what was going on so they can help keep an eye out for more strange things happening with him whenever he went out with her in public whether they're going anywhere together or simply shopping for groceries separately so nothing bad happens whatsoever between them anymore!
