The Spot's Reality Rift
·
Published 11/30/2023Miles Morales swung through the New York City skyline, his black and red suit blending with the shadows. He loved this feeling of freedom, of being able to leave all his worries on the ground as he soared through the air.
But tonight was different. Tonight, there was a sense of unease that hung in the air like a thick fog. Miles couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong, that something big was about to happen.
As he landed on a rooftop and looked out over the city, he saw it. A swirling vortex of colors and energy, tearing through the sky like a tornado. And then, out of nowhere, figures started appearing in mid-air, falling towards the ground.
Miles leaped into action, shooting webs to catch the falling figures before they hit the pavement below. As he pulled them up to safety one by one, he realized who they were: other Spider-People from different dimensions.
There was Peter Parker from another universe, an older version of himself with a few extra pounds and some gray hair. There was Gwen Stacy, also known as Spider-Gwen or Ghost-Spider. There was even Peni Parker and her robot friend SP//dr.
"Miles Morales," Peter said with a weary smile as Miles helped him to his feet. "Just when I thought I'd seen it all."
"What's happening?" Miles asked as he continued to pull people up from the edge of the vortex.
"We're not sure," Gwen replied as she swung down next to them. "One minute we were minding our own business in our own universes, and then next thing we know we're here."
"Someone must have messed with the multiverse again," Peni said with a frown.
Miles's heart sank as he realized what this meant. The last time someone had messed with the multiverse, it had been his old nemesis The Spot. The Spot had the ability to create portals and travel through different dimensions, and he had used that power to try and destroy Miles's world.
But Miles had stopped him. He had defeated The Spot and closed all the portals, or so he thought. But now it seemed like The Spot was back, and he was up to his old tricks again.
"We need to find The Spot," Miles said, his voice filled with determination. "We need to stop him before he destroys our universes."
The other Spider-People nodded in agreement, their faces a mix of worry and determination. They knew what was at stake. If The Spot succeeded in tearing apart the multiverse, it would mean the end of everything they held dear.
As they swung through the city together, searching for any sign of The Spot, Miles couldn't help but feel a sense of déjà vu. It was like he was reliving his past all over again, facing the same enemy with the same goal in mind.
But this time was different. This time, Miles wasn't alone. He had a team of other Spider-People by his side, people who understood what he was going through and were willing to fight alongside him.
And as they swung through the city together, their webs crisscrossing in a beautiful display of teamwork and determination, Miles knew that no matter what happened next, they would face it together.
Because that's what Spider-People do.
