Shadows of Superstition

Our story begins in America centuries ago, in the 3rd century BCE. It revolves around a large cast of characters coping with a difficult ethical situation. We are immediately pulled into the intensifying narrative, as the gravity of the situation gradually dawns upon them. As it happens, our characters are soon entangled in a tangle of ancient folklore.

It begins with a tale of a cursed town, an object of neglect and superstition. Those who were brave enough to wander the town, mysterious shadows seemed to follow them wherever they went, determined to haunt and torment. Although the truth is uncertain, a sense of unease comes over our characters as they resolve to do their part in uncovering the secrets behind this dark and mysterious force.

As our characters explore further, strange shadows and bizarre events compound the terror. After cross-referencing with folklore tales, our characters come to believe that supernatural forces are at work here and are determined to unravel the cursed town’s secrets. Events take on a heightened tension, focusing on the increasing sense of hopelessness our characters contend with as they struggle to stay one step ahead of the oppressive mist pouring throughout the town.

With hostility and fear on the rise, knowledge and courage become forces of life and death. Our characters come to understand that the only way to finish their task is a collective effort. Seizing the only chance for survival, each character volunteers to perform specific roles. After gathering the supplies, tools and other requisite items to combat the dark force, the stakes are set and the heroes venture out, facing their fears and the unknown.

Staring down the darkness of the unknown, our heroes reluctantly make their way to the campfire. As they surround it, an eerie silence surrounds them as they prepare to confront the terrors that await. Then, just as they brace for the showdown, a shuddering crescendo builds and an unbelievable sight appears. Monstrous creatures invade, fear radiates through the night, and all that is left is one insurmountable obstacle to overcome. Our characters battle fiercely, determined not to become victims of a nightmarish fate, until their strength is all but depleted. With dwindling vigor and a heavy heart, they banish the darkness and live to see another day, their courage having saved them from a fateful end.
