Mario & Bobby's Mystical Odyssey

Today was a good day. The sun shined bright and the air smelled of fresh flowers. As I walked through my daily routine of cutting the grass and cleaning the house, I whistled a quiet tune to myself.

I had just finished putting away all my tools back in the garage when I heard the doorbell ring.

"Oi! Josef, see who's at the door!" I shouted over to my son as he was playing on his PS4. He groaned and slowly stood up, stretched out his arms and legs, then made his way to the door.

He opened it, and standing there were two individuals dressed in white robes. They had their hoods down so I could see them clearly. The first one was a young woman with long red hair that fell to her waist and hazel eyes that seemed to glow in the sun. Her face was solemn and she looked around nervously as if she expected someone or something to jump out at her any minute.

The second one was an older gentleman with thick glasses and a black beard covering most of his face. His eyes were blue and shone like polished sapphires when the sun hit them just right.

"Bonjour!" The man said enthusiastically as he pushed past Josef into our house. "Is this where Mr. Bobby Hill lives? We've been looking for you for weeks now, we're here to take you on an adventure!"

I stood behind Josef with my hands on his shoulders, studying them both quietly for a few moments before speaking.

"May I ask who you are?" I asked as politely as possible while I pushed Josef aside gently and shut the door behind me. "And what kind of adventure?"

The woman spoke up suddenly, turning towards me quickly with wide eyes and an open mouth in shock and surprise, almost looking like she would cry at any minute if I didn't answer her question soon enough.

"We are your friends! We've been waiting for you to find us so we can go together! You don't remember us do you?!" She said frantically as she took a step closer to me, causing me to instinctively take a step back in fear of her presence invading my personal space more than it already had already done so twice already in less than 20 seconds flat.

"Uh...No? Should I?" I replied hesitantly as I tried to make sense of what was happening around me quickly whilst keeping my cool at the same time because these people looked like lunatics straight up killing people if you made one wrong move or said one wrong word at any point during this conversation which is how most conversations always end up feeling like when they start off like this usually but not very often do they get better from here so...I'd rather not have that happen today if possible please thank you kindly much appreciated good sir no really!
