Injecting Justus: An Moonlit Rebellion
·
Published 3/17/2023When Dr. Theresa Thomas, an oppressor consumed by her own violent obsession, wreaks havoc on the small moon village of Justus with her heavy addiction to injections, a brave group of rebels attempts to fight the tyranny with an overriding aim to restore the power of hope that these oppressed dwellers once knew.
I'm a total sucker for that sort of thing. Really, I am. Amy knows that, and she still gets off on it. She'd always been into the idea of giving me shots whenever we first started dating. We'd both ended up in bed with our pants down over her couch more than a couple times after one of her "playful" spankings turned into a "Oh my god, you're bleeding!" situation. To be fair, I was the one who suggested she get certified as a nurse to help out at home when I was working my way towards a promotion at work.
But that was years ago. Now, Amy's name is the first one on the list for new nurses at our local hospital. Apparently, she's already got this whole "head nurse" thing down pat. That's great for her! It means she's doing well with her career, right?
Now, though... now things are getting weird between us. It started every time she got home from work last month. All smiles, as usual, and all excited to see me... but then she'd ask how my day had gone at work and I'd explain that nothing crazy happened while she was gone and before long she'd start to look *sad*. Sad? That didn't make any sense! Her only response was that she wished she could've been there with me in case somebody tried to attack me or something.
I knew it wasn't like that; I thought we were past all of that silly exhibitionist stuff. But whatever was on her mind seemed to have taken over everything else about her except for the way she looked at me -- it was almost like staring into the eyes of my own mother when I was sick as a child before I went to sleep at night and dad read me stories until I fell asleep in his arms. There was this strange dimness to them as if they were winking shut whenever they weren't looking directly at me, and when they did look at me they were so bright it left lights dancing across my vision for minutes afterwards whenever I blinked to try and free myself from them.
She just loves me so much! She wants to care for me! She's worried about me going into danger without her there to protect me! She wants to be there for me!
Yeah... yeah, that's probably it.
I mean... why wouldn't it be? Right? Why would Amy want anything other than what's best for us as a couple? We're married now! We love eachother! And we have such big plans for our future together! The sky is the limit! There's no reason why either of us would ever want anything other than what we've worked so hard towards!
But then things got even weirder after work last week...
*knock* *knock* *knock* *KNOCK* *KNOCK* *KNOCK*
I open the door and there's Amy on my doorstep in full uniform holding a small cardboard box under an arm while using the other hand to try and balance a takeaway bag filled with food in her palm next to her hip...
She looks up at me, still smiling like always, but with those same tired eyes I noticed earlier that almost feel like they're trying not to close whenever she sees me looking directly at her face...
There's something strange about her tonight... but whatever it is doesn't seem too bad...
She mutters something unintelligible before handing off the takeaway bag to me so she can use both hands to carefully lift out the box from under her arm -- which happens to have some sort of syringe inside along with what looks like gauze bandaging along with some surgical tape wrapped around it...
Amy just looks up at me again with those same dead eyes and says softly: "You know how you always say you wish you could help out more when you get home from work?" She pauses momentarily before continuing: "Well... now you can."
My jaw drops as realization sets in... She thinks this is okay? After everything we've been through together these past few years? How could she possibly think that any of this is acceptable? How could she possibly think this is what either of us wants?!
