Rose's heart was pounding as she made her way through the crowded steerage deck. She had to find him, had to warn him. She couldn't let him die.
She finally spotted him, standing by the railing and sketching in his notebook. His dark hair fell into his eyes as he concentrated on his work, unaware of the danger that lay ahead.
"Jack!" she called out, pushing her way through the crowd.
He looked up at the sound of his name and a smile lit up his face when he saw her.
"Rose!" he said, crossing the distance between them in a few quick strides. "I've been looking for you."
She took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. There was so much she needed to tell him, but how could she explain it all?
"I have something to tell you," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
His smile faded as he took in her serious expression.
"What is it?" he asked, concern etching lines into his handsome face.
She glanced around nervously, making sure no one was listening.
"We don't have much time," she said urgently. "I need you to listen to me."
He nodded, his blue eyes filled with worry.
"I'm not who you think I am," she began. "My name is Rose DeWitt Bukater and I'm from the future."
He stared at her in disbelief for a moment before bursting into laughter.
"You're joking, right?" he said when he finally caught his breath. "That's a good one."
"I wish I were joking," she said earnestly. "But it's true. I don't belong here. I'm not supposed to be on this ship."
He studied her face for a moment before reaching out to touch her cheek gently.
"You feel real enough to me," he said softly.
"I am real," she insisted. "But I shouldn't be here. I was sent back in time to prevent the sinking of the Titanic."
He looked at her as if she had lost her mind.
"The Titanic?" he repeated incredulously. "You expect me to believe that?"
"I know it sounds crazy," she said, her voice filled with desperation. "But it's the truth. And you have to believe me, Jack. You're the only one who can help me."
He searched her face for a long moment before finally nodding.
"Alright," he said quietly. "I'll hear you out. But you'd better start making sense, Rose."
She took a deep breath and began to explain everything, from the secret government organization that had sent her back in time to the mission she had been given to alter history and prevent the sinking of the Titanic.
As she spoke, his expression shifted from disbelief to concern and finally to determination.
"So let me get this straight," he said when she had finished. "You're here from the future on some kind of secret mission and you need my help to save everyone on this ship?"
She nodded, tears welling up in her eyes.
"I know it's a lot to ask," she said softly. "But I don't know what else to do. I can't do this alone, Jack."
He reached out and took her hand in his, giving it a reassuring squeeze.
"You're not alone, Rose," he said firmly. "I'm right here with you."
She looked into his eyes and saw nothing but unwavering support and love.
"Thank you," she whispered, overcome with emotion.
He brushed a stray tear from her cheek before leaning in to kiss her gently.
"We'll figure this out together," he promised.
And for the first time since coming aboard the Titanic, Rose felt a glimmer of hope.
