A Fisherman's Fateful Voyage

Hans was a fishing man who lived on the banks of a wide river in the countryside of eastern Germany. But eld age was finally upon him, and he had to leave the peaceful waters of his childhood home to eke out a living for himself in the center of the bustling city of Berlin.

At first, Hans didn't take much comfort in his new life as a cab driver, and missing the lonely solitude of the bankside, he cursed the disorderly city to anyone who'd listen. That all changed, however, on one balmy summer day when Hans went to Red Lake—Berlin's largest lake—just around midnight. Despite the fish biting poorly, Hans kept at it with inexplicable hope, then—out of the corner of his eye—he saw something sparkle in the murky waters. Quickly snagging his bait, he discovered that his catch was a beautiful goldfish.

"You're not such an ordinary slave as you wanna be," Hans cooed to his salmon as he scooped her up and brought her closer. To his surprise, the goldfish hummed a curious little melody—but it was much more than that.

Very quickly, he pieced together that this goldfish was actually a young woman who'd been cursed and transformed by a dark magic arising from a secret Brotherhood. Overwhelmed with concern for his newfound friend, he decided then and there to do whatever was necessary to break the spell.

Before long, he found himself thrust into a adventure that would eventually lead him, Fredrika and the eclectic mix of passengers who had joined them to grand and captivating destinations. But it's not all peaches and cream, you see, as they soon find themselves pursued by all sorts of nefarious forces.

Between pulse-pounding action, desperate acts, and eerie undertones in prestigious places—all throughout intensifying and sentimental moments—Hans and Fredrika's forbidden love slowly begins to take hold, making it all the more important to protect their newly discovered love with every ounce of their being.

After a nuanced, heart-pounding journey, they arrive at their final destination, made aware that only they can complete their sorcerous mission. During the face off with the Brotherhood, the tables turn to their favor with the help of Fredrika's inner powers. Through a meaningful understanding, she manages the remainder of the Brotherhood and breaks the dark spells, having her once-again fully restored up to her golden scales.

As a symbol of a love hard fought, the force behind their mission gets pulled into an unforgettable reminder—that love between fish and fisherman is incomparable and fiercely defining no matter the circumstances.
