Harry stood in the tent, clutching his golden egg. The first task of the Triwizard Tournament had been a success, but he couldn't help feeling uneasy. Cedric Diggory, his fellow Hogwarts champion, had been acting strangely lately. Harry couldn't put his finger on it, but something about Cedric seemed off.

"Harry!" Hermione's voice broke through his thoughts. "Are you okay? You've been staring into space for ages."

"Yeah, I'm fine," Harry replied absentmindedly. "Just thinking."

"About what?" Ron asked.

"Cedric," Harry said. "He's been acting weird lately. I can't explain it, but something doesn't feel right."

"What do you mean?" Hermione asked.

"I don't know," Harry said with a sigh. "It's just a feeling I have. Like there's something he's not telling us."

"Well, we can keep an eye on him," Ron suggested.

"Yeah, I guess," Harry said doubtfully.

Just then, the tent flap opened and Cedric walked in.

"Hey, guys," he greeted them with a smile.

"Hey," Harry replied warily.

Cedric raised an eyebrow at him. "Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, why wouldn't it be?" Harry asked casually.

Cedric shrugged. "I don't know, you seem a bit... tense."

"I'm fine," Harry insisted.

Cedric looked at him for a moment before nodding. "Okay then."

As Cedric joined them in the tent and they chatted about the upcoming tasks, Harry couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. He watched Cedric closely as they talked and noticed that he kept glancing around nervously as if he was expecting someone to be listening in on their conversation.

"What are you looking for?" Harry asked when he couldn't stand it any longer.

Cedric jumped slightly and looked at him. "What? Oh, uh, nothing. Just making sure we're alone."

"Why?" Harry pressed.

Cedric hesitated for a moment before answering. "Look, Harry, there's something I need to tell you. But you have to promise not to freak out."

Harry exchanged a glance with Ron and Hermione before nodding. "Okay, I promise."

Cedric took a deep breath. "My dad... he's been acting strange lately. I think someone is controlling him."

"What do you mean?" Harry asked.

"I think he's been imperiused," Cedric said quietly.

"By who?" Ron asked.

"I don't know," Cedric admitted. "But whoever it is, they're using my dad to do their bidding. And I'm afraid they might be involved with the Dark Arts."

Harry and his friends exchanged worried glances.

"We need to tell someone," Hermione said firmly.

"No!" Cedric exclaimed. "We can't! If my dad finds out that we know... I don't even want to think about what they'll do to him."

"But we can't just ignore this," Harry insisted.

"I'm not asking you to," Cedric said earnestly. "I just... I need your help, Harry. Please."

Harry looked at Cedric for a moment before nodding. "Okay, we'll help you. But first, we need more information."

Cedric nodded gratefully as they began discussing their plan.

As the events of the Triwizard Tournament unfolded over the next few weeks, Harry kept an eye on Cedric while also trying to complete his own tasks. He noticed that Cedric continued to act suspiciously and often disappeared for long periods of time without explanation.

One day, after completing the second task of the tournament, Harry decided it was time to confront Cedric about his behavior.

"Hey, Cedric," Harry called as he approached him in the Hogwarts library.

Cedric looked up from his book and smiled. "Hey, Harry. What's up?"

"I need to talk to you," Harry said seriously.

Cedric's smile faded slightly. "Okay, what about?"

"You," Harry replied. "I've been watching you over the past few weeks, and I can't help but notice that you've been acting... strange."

Cedric sighed and closed his book. "I was afraid you'd noticed."

"Are you involved with the Dark Arts?" Harry asked bluntly.

Cedric looked at him in surprise. "What? No! Of course not!"

"Then why have you been acting so suspiciously?" Harry pressed.

Cedric hesitated for a moment before answering. "I guess I can trust you with the truth. But you have to promise not to tell anyone else."

Harry nodded. "I promise."

"Cedric took a deep breath. "The person who has imperiused my dad... it's Voldemort."

Harry felt his blood run cold at the mention of Voldemort's name.

"What does he want with your dad?" Harry asked quietly.

"He wants me to help him win the Triwizard Tournament," Cedric said grimly. "And if I don't do what he says... well, let's just say that my dad won't be the only one suffering."

Harry stared at Cedric in shock as the full weight of his words sank in.

"We have to stop him," Harry said firmly.

Cedric nodded gratefully as they began discussing their plan.
