The Time Traveler's Amulet

Rose stood at the edge of the ship, her heart pounding in her chest. She clutched the Heart of the Ocean necklace in her hand, tears streaming down her face. This was it. The moment she had been dreading. The moment she had to let go.

"Goodbye, Jack," she whispered, her voice barely audible over the crashing waves.

With a deep breath, Rose threw the necklace into the sea, watching as it disappeared beneath the surface. But as she did, something strange happened. A surge of energy rippled through the air, causing Rose's hair to stand on end.

"What's happening?" she gasped, gripping onto the railing for support.

Suddenly, a bright light enveloped Rose and everything around her blurred together. It felt like she was being pulled in every direction at once, like gravity had turned against her. And then, just as suddenly as it began, it stopped.

Rose blinked and looked around in confusion. She wasn't on the ship anymore. In fact, she wasn't anywhere that she recognized. She was standing in a lush green field with rolling hills stretching out before her as far as the eye could see.

"What... where am I?" Rose wondered aloud.

As if in response to her question, a voice spoke from behind her.

"You are exactly where you need to be."

Rose turned and saw a woman standing there - or rather floating there - dressed in flowing white robes with long silver hair cascading down her back.

"Who are you?" Rose asked warily.

The woman smiled kindly and held out a hand.

"I am Amelia," she said. "And I am here to help you."

Rose hesitated for a moment before taking Amelia's hand and allowing herself to be pulled upwards into the sky. They soared through fluffy white clouds until they reached what appeared to be an invisible barrier shimmering with golden light.

"We must pass through here," Amelia explained. "But first, I need to show you something."

Amelia placed a hand on Rose's forehead and suddenly images began to flood her mind. She saw herself standing at the edge of the ship, throwing the necklace into the sea. But then she saw something else. A flash of light and a figure emerging from the water - a young woman with fiery red hair.

"Who is that?" Rose asked, her voice filled with wonder.

"That is you," Amelia replied. "In another time."

Rose's eyes widened in realization.

"I'm... I'm a time traveler?"

Amelia nodded.

"Yes, Rose. The Heart of the Ocean has transformed into a magical amulet, granting you the ability to travel through time."

"But why? Why me?"

"Because you have a special gift, Rose. You have the power to change lives, to make a difference in the world. And now you have been given the means to do so."

Rose was speechless. She had always felt like there was something more out there for her, some greater purpose she was meant to fulfill. And now it seemed like that purpose had been revealed.

"Are you ready?" Amelia asked gently.

Rose took a deep breath and nodded.

"Yes," she said firmly. "I'm ready."

With that, they passed through the shimmering barrier and everything went black.
