Kalena and Cora sat in the perch, having just ended a long day of work. They were exhausted, but still felt a bit anxious. As they leaned back and enjoyed the soft cushioning of the large chair, Cora leaned forward and stared at her friend. She smiled when she noticed that Kalena was too tired to even notice her staring.

Kalena woke up slowly, as she heard Cora’s voice, “Kalena! We’re here!”

Kalena blinked twice and looked around. The sun was shining through the window, illuminating the room with a soft orange light. Kalena sat up slowly and looked around in amazement.

Cora laughed, “We made it! You slept the whole way!”

Kalena rubbed her eyes and stretched, “I guess I did! So where are we?”

Cora was beaming, “Addis Ababa of course!”

The two Nuru experts jumped out of their chairs and started to unpack their belongings. As they entered their apartment in Addis Ababa, Cora turned around to face Kalena. She pointed to her arm, covered in bruises from all the fighting she had done during their journey. Kalena looked at her arm as well and saw how bruised it was as well. The two smiled at each other and hugged each other tightly. They had made it to Addis Ababa safe and sound with little supplies left after their journey across the galaxy. Their supply ship had crashed on the planet Betelgeuse due to an engine malfunction, leaving them stranded on a foreign planet for months until they could find a way off the planet. They would have been stuck there longer if Cora hadn’t been able to repair their ship using spare parts from another crash site on Betelgeuse. Luckily for them, that particular crash site had belonged to a ship from Earth carrying random supplies bound for Addis Ababa; including blueprints for a new type of gun that could shoot farther than any gun produced before it. It also shot much faster than any other weapon ever created on Earth or anywhere else in the galaxy for that matter; but only one shot at a time per burst of energy used to charge the gun though, so it could only fire once every minute or so depending on how many times it took to charge up enough energy to fire again after its last shot was fired; regardless of that fact though, it could still kill you dead as a doornail before you even got anywhere close enough to see it being drawn by its wielder or wielders. This particular type of firearm was designed by an inventor who had grown bored with trying to create something that would blow people into smithereens; he instead decided to design a weapon which would make his enemies go pee-pee pants like babies with nothing more than seeing it being drawn by someone who knew how to use it properly while they were awake and ready to fight back against its wielder or wielders without wasting precious time drawing it from its holster first like almost every other gun manufactured before this particular model came into existence; therefore rendering every other kind of weapon used before this particular model obsolete as soon as it came into existence given enough time for word about this particular model

to spread throughout the galaxy. It had become highly sought after, not only for its unparalleled power, but also for its distinctive design. The barrel of the gun shimmered with an otherworldly glow, and the handle was adorned with intricate engravings that seemed to pulsate with energy.

Kalena and Cora had managed to salvage one of these precious weapons from the wreckage. It had been damaged in the crash, but Cora was confident she could repair it. Now, as they settled into their new home in Addis Ababa, they couldn't help but feel a mixture of relief and anticipation. They had come all this way to bring their newfound technology to the Nuru resistance, led by General Yonas.

Cora carefully placed the weapon on a workbench, her tools neatly organized beside it. She picked up a delicate tool and began to meticulously repair the gun. Kalena watched in awe, marveling at her friend's skill and determination. It was this very determination that had kept them alive throughout their perilous journey.

As Cora worked, her mind wandered back to the fateful day when they had stumbled upon the crash site on Betelgeuse. The wreckage was strewn across the barren landscape, and it was clear that whoever had survived the crash would need all the help they could get. Cora and Kalena had risked everything to search for survivors, scavenging for supplies and offering their aid to anyone in need.

It was during one of these searches that they had come across the lifeless body of a fellow Nuru fighter, clutching a torn map in his hand. The map led them to the crash site where the Earth supply ship had gone down. It was there, amongst the charred remains, that they had discovered the blueprints for the powerful weapon that now lay before them.

Cora's hand trembled slightly as she connected the final wires, completing the repairs. She looked up at Kalena, her eyes shining with determination. "It's ready," she said, her voice filled with a mix of excitement and trepidation.

Kalena nodded, her heart pounding with anticipation. "Let's go," she said. "General Yonas and the resistance are waiting."

They packed their bags and made their way through the bustling streets of Addis Ababa, blending into the crowd of locals and travelers. The city was alive with vibrant colors, the smell of exotic spices lingering in the air. Kalena and Cora navigated through the maze of narrow alleyways until they reached a hidden entrance.

As they descended into the secret underground hideout, they were greeted by familiar faces. The Nuru fighters had been anxiously awaiting their return, their eyes filled with hope. General Yonas stepped forward, his presence commanding respect.

"Kalena, Cora, you have returned," he said, his voice brimming with pride. "And with the weapon that will turn the tide in our favor."

Kalena and Cora exchanged a glance, a shared moment of understanding. They had come so far, faced countless obstacles, and now stood on the brink of something monumental. As they handed over the repaired weapon to General Yonas, the room filled with a renewed sense of purpose.

The resistance fighters gathered around the table, studying the weapon intently. Plans were drawn, strategies discussed, and battle formations rehearsed. They knew that the coming days would be filled with danger and uncertainty, but they were willing to fight. Their cause was just, and they would do whatever it took to bring peace to their war-torn galaxy.

And so, as the sun set on Addis Ababa, casting a warm glow over the city, the Nuru resistance braced themselves for the war that lay ahead. Kalena and Cora stood shoulder to shoulder, ready to face whatever came their way. They had come a long way, but their journey was far from over. The fate of the galaxy rested on their shoulders, and they were determined to make it right.
