Dragon Slayer's Call: Sandrine and Edgar's Mythic Quest

*“What a great morning for a hunt.”*

Edgar swung his morningstar over his head, the weapon he had been named after. He fiddled with the chain that was attached to it as he looked towards the sun, blinded by its light. His armour clanked as he walked along the path leading into the forest. The path was muddy from the rain last night and there were plenty of slippery spots where Edgar nearly slipped.

The forest in front of him was vibrant and full of life, but his mother had warned him about venturing too far into the forest. She had explained to him that sometimes people disappeared into this forest only to be never seen again. Sometimes people who ventured into the woods went insane and sometimes they would get eaten by monsters or dragons.

Edgar shifted his weapon on his shoulder as he approached a small clearing surrounded by trees. The grass that grew in the middle of it was soft and green, this place seemed peaceful except for one thing that caught Edgar’s eye: a large footprint in the mud near him. It looked like it belonged to a person at least three times bigger than Edgar himself.

“Well I don’t think I’m going to be eaten today,” he said aloud to himself. He also thought about how he wouldn’t be able to slay any dragons if he got eaten first. “But then again what does my mother know? She isn’t even a real princess she just pretends to be and slept with my dad so she could have some kids,” Edgar mumbled quietly under his breath before continuing on his way through the forest.

Edgar continued walking deeper into the forest, unaware that someone was following him in silence through the trees. He stopped at a small stream where he took off his gauntlets and washed his face off before taking out a loaf of bread from inside his bag and tearing off pieces to eat while doing so. As he ate, he noticed something move behind him, hidden in the shadows between two trees. A shadow emerged from between them, an outline of a person who stood there watching Edgar eat along with some other creatures who were hiding around him as well; one creature looking like a fox, another one looking like a raccoon and another one like a badger.

As Edgar finished eating, he threw away the remaining bread crumbs and picked up his things when suddenly three rocks flew towards him from nowhere and hit him right on his chestplate! He fell backwards down onto his back as he watched more rocks fly towards him in all directions until they became too many to count! In panic, Edgar covered himself with his shield but realized too late that it would not help against this attack since whatever was throwing these rocks could easily jump above it! Just as he thought that, more rocks flew up into the air above his shield before slamming back down onto it while flying past it! Edgar rolled away from them, abandoning his shield as he did so before jumping to his feet and running away from those rocks that were chasing after him before stopping once he had run out of breath! He turned around only to see that those creatures that had been following him were now standing behind him protecting him from wherever those rocks had come from!

They weren’t alone either! More animals started emerging from everywhere around them; deer, horses and even some birds started surrounding them all staring straight at whatever was attacking them before turning their attention towards Edgar once more! They began walking forward slowly as if protecting him from something but then suddenly all of their eyes widened open as if they had heard something terrifying coming closer towards them! Something enormous emerged behind them moving very fast through the trees until it stopped right in front of Edgar! This creature that immediately made all those animals run away screaming sounded like several people screaming at once while trying to inhale air while its tail moved back and forth rapidly in an intimidating manner until it hit something hard which caused an explosion of sound similar to thunder but much louder than usual thunder sounds should be! It opened its mouth wide revealing two rows of sharp teeth before swinging its head towards Edgar causing all those animals who were still around him to flee once more except for one brave rabbit who dared to confront this monster instead of fleeing like everyone else did before being flung away by its tail!

Somehow though despite all of this chaos happening around them, Edgar remained calm enough not to lose focus on what lay ahead of him: its eyes! Its eyes looked exactly like any other dragon but its scales were different from any other dragon whose scales were red or orange or yellow or any other colour except for black! These scales appeared pitch black which made it quite hard for anyone else to notice them against all other colours surrounding it until now when it had revealed itself completely in front of him finally allowing Edgar to make out every detail on its body including its furry legs with claws almost as big as swords themselves! It let out another deafening roar which caused everything around them including those poor animals who couldn’t run away fast enough anymore but instead landed on the ground motionless while their hearts began beating slower until they stopped beating altogether leaving only poor little bunny rabbit moving around on top of one such animal while making noises similar ones humans make when they are holding back tears trying not to cry anymore due to overwhelming sadness or despair! Bunny rabbit hopped closer towards Edgar only for dragon creature using its tail towards bunny rabbit causing bunny rabbit getting flung away as well just like everything else around them used for target practice for dragon creature's tail! Bunny rabbit didn't give up though instead continued hopping closer toward dragon creature raising up both her fists shaking them angrily at dragon creature while making loud noises similar ones humans make when they are angry or upset about something because they feel insulted or hurt by someone else who has done something bad or mean toward them because bunny rabbit felt wronged by dragon creature doing such horrible things toward her friends or friends' families or parents probably because bunny rabbit wasn't born yet during last time dragon creatures attacked her home village destroying most buildings there including church she used visit every Sunday with her family which made bunny rabbit angry enough at dragon creature ready even willing now throw herself against beast's leg hoping distract beast long enough not allow beast continue hurting others without getting distracted herself by anything else occurring outside her mind right now instead keeping everything contained within own self instead focusing everything unto herself only filling up with anger anger anger anger anger anger angerunnnnnggggghhhhhh!!!!!
