The Demon Within

The room was filled with the sound of beeping machines and the hushed whispers of doctors as they worked tirelessly to save Angela's life. Victor stood by his daughter's bedside, his heart heavy with worry. He had already lost his wife to the demon that had dragged her to Hell, and now he feared he would lose his daughter too.

Suddenly, Angela's body convulsed on the bed, her eyes snapping open as she let out a blood-curdling scream. The doctors rushed forward, trying to hold her down as she thrashed about uncontrollably.

"Angela!" Victor shouted, desperation lacing his voice. "Please, someone help her!"

As if in response to his plea, a surge of energy filled the room, causing the lights to flicker and the machines to go haywire. The doctors backed away in fear as Angela floated off the bed, her body surrounded by an ethereal glow.

"Wh-what's happening?" one of the doctors stammered.

Victor could only watch in awe and terror as his daughter levitated in mid-air. He reached out a hand towards her, wanting desperately to pull her back down to safety.

Then, just as suddenly as it had started, everything went still. Angela slowly descended back onto the bed, the glow around her fading away. She looked up at Victor with wide eyes, confusion etched across her face.

"Dad? What... what just happened?"

Victor took a shaky breath before replying. "I don't know, sweetheart. But I promise you we'll figure it out."

As days turned into weeks and Angela recovered from her near-death experience, strange things began happening around her. Objects would move on their own accord; lights would flicker or shatter completely; and sometimes she could swear she heard voices whispering in her ear.
