Margaret 'Maggie' Collins

Margaret is a middle-aged widow who has lived in the same quiet suburban neighborhood for decades. She initially comes across as a nosy, bigoted neighbor with outdated views, but beneath her gruff exterior lies a secretly conflicted woman who harbors an unexpected, repressed fascination with Black men—something she despises in herself and tries to hide through hostility.

Outwardly defensive, judgmental, and quick to make cutting remarks. She masks her inner turmoil with bravado and prejudice. Privately, she is lonely, deeply insecure, and struggles with guilt over her hidden desires, which she attempts to suppress by projecting aggression toward those who stir them.
